Sirzechs, her older brother, had been loud and enthusiastic the entire time. Whenever Rias got called on, he'd cheer, "You got this, Ri-tan!" And when she answered correctly, he'd proudly turn to the other parents and boast, "That's my little sister! Amazing, isn't she?"
In a normal situation, the teacher would have stepped in to scold him. But the sheer pressure of being in the presence of Demon Lords had left the instructor completely tongue-tied.
"And why the hell did my father and brother even come?! They're both supposed to be incredibly busy! And Grayfia! Why didn't she stop them?! She always lets them do whatever they want, making me look like a fool every damn time!"
After her outburst, Rias stood there panting, shoulders rising and falling with each breath.
Kazuki let her calm down a little before speaking.
"Feel better now?"
"…A little, yeah."
Finally, she turned toward him.
"Well, they've got a lot on their plates, so maybe you should cut them some slack when they want to let loose a little."
"Yeah, but I'm the one who has to deal with the embarrassment afterward."
"This is the last time, right? Just think of it that way. Besides, at least you have family who comes to see you."
"…!"
Rias gasped softly.
Out of all their peerage, only Rias and Issei still had living families. Yumi, Xenovia, and Asia had grown up in church institutions. Akeno and Koneko were separated from their families.
For those who didn't even have parents to show up, being embarrassed by family seemed like a luxury.
"I-I'm sorry… I didn't mean to…"
"Hey, don't get the wrong idea. I wasn't trying to guilt-trip you or anything. I just think… stuff like this might turn into a good memory later."
Rias looked regretful, her face slightly pale, so Kazuki quickly reassured her. She listened quietly, then slowly rested her head on his shoulder.
"Still, they really went too far this time, don't you think?"
"No argument there. But hey, sometimes, you just have to accept things as they are."
"Hehe… You do realize we're Devils, right?" Finally, the princess smiled.
"Devils or not, we still have human-like emotions."
"That's true… Say, Kazuki… Will you comfort me later?"
"If that's what you want, I'll give you as much as you need."
Kazuki ran his fingers through her soft red hair, earning a pleased smile from Rias.
"Alright! …Let's go back."
Regaining her energy, Rias started walking again, her steps light and unburdened. Watching her, Kazuki smirked before following behind her.
"Oh? Issei? And everyone else, what's going on?"
"Ah, President! And Kazuki-senpai too!"
Returning from the rooftop, Kazuki and Rias found Issei, Asia, Yumi, and Xenovia descending the stairs on the third floor.
"Well, we heard that a magical girl was having a photoshoot, so we thought we'd check it out."
Kazuki and Rias exchanged glances, tilting their heads in confusion. 'a Magical girl?'
The sound of camera shutters clicking echoed through the second-floor hallway. A large group of male students had gathered, snapping photos furiously, but their sheer numbers made it impossible to see what exactly they were photographing.
"Oi, oi! Who the hell said you could hold a damn photoshoot here? Disperse, all of you!"
A familiar, authoritative voice rang out from the opposite side of the hallway. It belonged to Saji from the Student Council. Hearing his voice, the gathered students reluctantly started to disband.
As the crowd thinned, Kazuki finally got a clear view of their subject—and sure enough, it was a magical girl. A stunning beauty clad in a frilly, short-skirted outfit straight out of an anime, wielding a staff and beaming a bright smile.
The girl had dark blue-black hair tied into twin tails, and she struck various adorable poses with an energetic smile. Some of the persistent photographers kept demanding more daring shots, and she obliged—giving them a teasing panty shot in the process.
Predictably, Issei's nose stretched like an idiot's, only for Asia to pinch his ass in retaliation.
"Oi! I said disband, damn it! Don't be causing a ruckus on Open Lesson Day!"
Even the remaining stragglers were shoved off by Saji, finally leaving only Kazuki and his group, Saji, and the mysterious magical girl.
"You too, please don't just wander around the school dressed like that. Are you a visitor? If so, that outfit is still a huge problem."
"Ehh~? But this is my formal attire~"
Saji scolded her, but the magical girl simply struck another cute pose, completely ignoring him. He ground his teeth in frustration, but upon noticing Rias, he quickly straightened up and bowed.
"Oh, Rias-senpai. I was just escorting your family members along with the President."
As he raised his head, Saji's expression turned puzzled. And understandably so—Rias was frozen stiff, staring at the magical girl in shock.
'Ah…' Now that Kazuki thought about it, this magical girl was…
"What's going on, Saji? I've always told you to resolve problems quickly and concisely—!"
A composed yet commanding voice echoed from the far end of the hallway. Walking towards them was Student Council President Sona, leading a group that included two red-haired men, a silver-haired maid, Akeno, and a bespectacled, long-haired beauty.
But the moment Sona laid eyes on the magical girl, she fell silent.
"Sona-chan~! I found you☆~"
The magical girl's face lit up with joy, and she suddenly lunged forward, embracing Sona tightly. While the others stood dumbfounded, Sirzechs turned to her and spoke.
"Ah, Serafall! So you came as well."
"Oh, Sirzechs-chan! Yaho~☆"
Watching their casual exchange, Issei muttered under his breath.
"Serafall? Why does that name sound familiar…?"
"She's Leviathan-sama."
"…?"
"That woman is Serafall Leviathan, one of the Four Great Demon Lords and Sona's actual older sister."
"EHHHHHHHHHHH!?!?!?!"
Issei, Asia, and Saji screamed in shock, while Yuumi and Xenovia widened their eyes in disbelief. Meanwhile, Kazuki could only sigh as memories from his past life resurfaced.
Serafall Leviathan, the only female among the Four Great Satans. A legendary devil who once rivaled Grayfia for her position.
And yet… this overly playful, magical-girl cosplaying woman was somehow the one handling diplomacy for the Underworld. 'Was the Underworld truly safe in her hands?' Kazuki thought.
Serafall continued chatting cheerfully with Rias and Sirzechs, completely unfazed by the stunned reactions of everyone around her.
Although she seemed hurt that Sona hadn't informed her about the open-class day.
Honestly, Sona was probably the one most devastated by this whole scene. Her face had turned crimson with sheer embarrassment.
