Where was she to go?
She still wasn't sure whether she was still at the scene of the accident; maybe the quicksand and wind had blown her somewhere else, maybe she was still at the same place, only the car and other people were gone.
She suddenly realized that in this desert, she was almost as helpless as a blind person.
After a long time thinking about what to do, she also considered the position of the sun. She remembered she had set out with her back to the sun and later faced it; now it was morning, and she just needed to walk towards the sun to head back.
Even though her physical pain had reached its limit, she still had the last bit of strength; she decided to walk back, towards the direction of the sun.
She also knew that just heading towards this general direction would have a large margin of error, but, she hoped she could walk back to where there were people, even if it wasn't Shan County, just to reach the edge of the desert would do.
