Chapter 272 - Chapter 272: Pursuing Chinjao

Chapter 272: Pursuing Chinjao

"Damn it! Eight Impact Fists!"

Chinjao's face burned with rage.

To be humiliated like this—even if his opponent was a notorious pirate with a 1.08 billion bounty—he would make him pay.

He swiftly coated his fist in Armament Haki and punched at the incoming slash.

Even after deflecting it, Chinjao stumbled back three or four steps before stabilizing himself.

"You'll pay for your arrogance!"

"Eight Impact Fists Ultimate Art—Drill Dragon: Piercing Nail!"

His entire body tensed, Haki rapidly covering his cone-shaped head.

With his full weight and momentum, he shot upward into the sky, channeling the force of Hasshoken's impact waves into his legendary drill head.

Then, like a meteor, he plunged down—straight at Redfield.

The sheer force locked onto Redfield like a homing missile.

"Hah… flashy, but pointless."

Feeling the oncoming storm, Redfield smirked in disdain.

He raised his umbrella, now fully coated in Armament Haki, and lightly pointed it upward.

CLANG!

BOOM!

The once unstoppable attack was completely stopped.

Chinjao's drill-like head was frozen midair, balancing awkwardly on the tip of Redfield's umbrella.

"Damn it!"

The position, the result—it was all too familiar.

This was exactly how Rockefeller Charlotte defeated him five years ago.

The painful memory resurfaced, filling Chinjao with rage and humiliation.

"Then take this!"

"Crimson Impact!"

Redfield's umbrella spun rapidly, creating concentric circles of energy.

The impact waves condensed at the umbrella's tip.

With a slight thrust forward, the stored energy exploded.

Sensing imminent danger, Chinjao's eyes widened.

His five-meter-tall body was sent flying—spinning like a top across the sky.

CRASH!

He slammed into a ship, his massive frame crushing it instantly.

"Boss!"

"Boss!"

His crew rushed over, scrambling through the wreckage.

They found Chinjao half-buried in debris, unconscious, his eyes still spinning in dizziness.

"Phew…"

Redfield let out a breath.

"I'm still strong.

"I just happened to run into monsters today."

He looked toward the ongoing battle.

"That Golden Lion really is something else."

Shiki, alone, was fighting Roger and Garp at the same time.

He fought like a wounded beast, wildly slashing at anything that got near him.

"This lion has gone insane."

Redfield shook his head.

Then, his eyes scanned the battlefield.

He saw his small boat floating nearby.

"This isn't a place to stay for long."

"The Navy's reinforcements will arrive soon. It's time to leave."

With that, Redfield leapt onto his boat, sailing away from the battlefield.

Meanwhile—

"Shiki-sama! We have to retreat!"

"Our scouts report that Fleet Admiral Kong has sent Admiral Sengoku!"

A frantic voice shouted toward Shiki.

Hearing this, both Roger and Garp hesitated for a moment.

Garp, in particular, grinned and turned toward Roger and Shiki.

"Hahaha! Don't run, you cowards! Let's end this today!"

His voice carried both mockery and provocation.

Roger frowned.

If Sengoku was coming, then the entire battlefield would be wiped out.

They would all be captured or killed.

"Shiki! Calm down! The Navy is coming. Do you really want them to clean up after us?"

Roger blocked one of Shiki's wild slashes and spoke firmly.

Shiki gritted his teeth, staring furiously at Roger.

"Shiki-sama! Our forces are falling apart!"

Another voice came from behind.

Shiki finally looked around—his crew was on the verge of collapse.

The Red Count had already escaped.

"RETREAT!"

Shiki unleashed one last powerful slash, forcing Roger back.

Then, he soared into the sky.

Garp moved to chase, but Roger blocked his path.

For a split second, the two locked eyes.

Even Garp hesitated.

He had been fighting alongside Roger for the last few hours.

It was easy to forget that they were enemies.

Now that Shiki was escaping, Roger and Garp were suddenly face-to-face again.

Garp broke into a cold sweat.

If he moved, Roger would stop him.

If he didn't move, Shiki would get away.

"Damn it, Roger! Shiki! I swear I'll catch you one day!"

Garp roared in frustration.

"Wahaha! Garp, I'll be waiting!"

Roger laughed, retreating toward his ship.

"Move out!"

The Roger Pirates sailed away.

Garp stomped his foot in anger.

"Damn it! I didn't capture a single one of them!"

His frustration was clear.

Then—

"Garp-san! Look over there!"

His vice-admiral pointed toward a nearby fleet.

Garp squinted—

A pirate flag…

"Happo Navy?"

Garp paused.

The flag looked familiar.

Then it clicked.

"Chinjao?!"

He cracked his knuckles.

"Bring us in close!"

"Yes, sir!"

Meanwhile—

Chinjao, still dizzy from Redfield's attack, was being carried by his crew.

Then—

"Boss! The Navy is chasing us!"

A frantic shout jolted him awake.

Chinjao's mind cleared instantly.

"MOVE! GET US OUT OF HERE!"

The seven remaining ships immediately turned and fled.

"Chinjao! Don't run! Let me send you to Impel Down!"

Garp grinned as his crew loaded crates of cannonballs onto the deck.

"Hahaha! Time to play catch!"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Garp hurled cannonballs by hand, launching them like meteors.

Each impact sent ships reeling, breaking masts and tearing holes in hulls.

"Damn it!"

Chinjao punched a wall in frustration.

First, he got caught up in a battle he never wanted.

Then, he was randomly beaten up.

Now, he was being chased by Garp—the legendary mad dog of the Navy.

This was the worst day of his life.
