Chapter 590 - Chapter 588

"This is impossible!!!" Eric shouted, clutching his head.

He rushed to the video recorder, yanked out the master tape, and inspected it closely.

Yes—this was the original master tape.

How the hell could this happen?!

He felt like his brain was about to fry.

Just then, a pudgy fist came flying at him, knocking him to the ground.

The next thing he saw was Harvey's greasy, furious face looming into view. He snarled viciously, "Tell me, what are you up to? Huh?! Were you bribed by Martin? You bastard! I paid you!"

As he spoke, Harvey raised his fist again.

Eric flinched and tried to shove him off, but the damn fatty was too heavy—he couldn't budge him at all.

"Stop! You can't hit me! If you do, I'll make the contents of this videotape public!"

Harvey's fist froze in mid-air. He frowned, glaring at Eric like a starving wolf. "Four… five… three…" he muttered, as if calculating something in his head.

After a moment, he asked coldly, "The tape hasn't been sent out yet?"

"N-no, not yet. I came to find you first."

"You're trying to blackmail me?"

Harvey remembered telling him to send the video out, and how Eric insisted on meeting in person—he immediately understood Eric's true intention.

Eric forced a bitter smile. Yeah, I really did come to blackmail you… but only because your wife was fooling around with Martin! I was just doing what you hired me to do! Who knew Brad Pitt would show up in the middle of it!

But now, there was no turning back.

"Yes, Harvey. You should understand—if you're willing to pay, the tapes will be returned to you."

"This batch? How many more do you have?" Harvey's tone grew dangerous again.

Eric straightened up and, now that he was committed, spoke calmly. "There are six more tapes. If anything happens to me, they'll be leaked. I swear."

Harvey stared at him for a long moment, then suddenly burst into laughter.

"You're still too young. Since the guy in the tape isn't me or Martin, why should I care?"

Eric froze. "But… your wife's in it."

"So what? A wife is replaceable. But money? Money is forever. You think I'd spend eternal wealth to save a woman who cheated on me?"

He walked to the sofa, sat down, and lit a cigar like a mafia boss.

Eric was dumbfounded. What kind of twist is this? This guy's heart is made of stone. His wife cheats and he just… moves on?

"You're sure?" Eric asked again.

"Of course! What, you think I can't get another wife?"

"I already got cheated on. And now you want me to pay to fix it? Nice try."

"FUCK" Eric cursed under his breath.

Then Harvey waved him off. "You can leave. Get out!"

Eric stood up, dejected, head hanging low. But he didn't forget to take the two videotapes with him.

After Eric left, Harvey's tough-guy demeanor vanished. He grit his teeth, face contorting with barely suppressed rage.

Kempinski Hotel, Martin's Room

Martin was on the phone with Jennifer Aniston.

"Don't worry, babe. I'm not gonna let Brad Pitt drag your name through the mud. Trust me—I'll take care of it."

Lately, Brad Pitt had been bringing up his divorce from Jennifer again, probably just to stay in the spotlight. He claimed that the reason he cheated was because Jennifer was too cold and refused to have children…

That's why Martin had been keeping tabs on Brad ever since Harvey hired someone to tail him.

After hanging up, Martin was about to hop in the shower.

Knock, knock, knock… knock, knock, knock…

Gordon, lounging on the sofa watching TV, got up and answered the door.

"It's you?"

Martin heard the surprise in his voice. "Who is it?"

He looked over curiously—Gordon was leading in none other than Georgina Chapman, the woman who'd left long ago.

"You came back?" Martin raised a brow.

But then he saw the look in her eyes—burning, intense.

"I need protection, Martin," Georgina said nervously, bracing herself for rejection.

Gordon, catching the vibe, immediately bowed out. "I'll be in the guest room."

He ducked inside and shut the door behind him.

Martin grinned and curled his finger, beckoning her. "Come here. I'll give you all the protection you need."

With a wave of his hand, the magic barrier was activated again.

———

Early morning sunlight streamed through the curtains into the bedroom. Martin woke up right on time.

He reached out instinctively—but his hand landed only on the half-covered goose down quilt.

The body that had been beside him the night before was long gone.

Judging by the cold spot left behind, Georgina must've left hours ago…

On the table, a note was left behind.

"Thank you, strong little boy. I'll do anything you want!!!"

Martin chuckled. He crushed the note with a bit of magic and tossed it into the trash.

———

That same day, Eric—still bitter and unwilling to give up—found Brad Pitt again, hoping to shake him down.

But Brad's reaction was even more explosive than Harvey's.

He beat Eric senseless and accused him of blackmail with a doctored video. He even threatened to call the cops if Eric ever showed his face again.

Brad was full of confidence—because he knew he had never slept with Harvey's wife!

Eric was furious. You two really think I don't dare leak this tape?

But before Eric could make a move, someone else leaked Harvey's steamy video first—along with a bunch of incriminating photos.

Everything was sent anonymously to major media outlets.

No one knew who the "Good Samaritan" was—but after confirming that the footage had no signs of editing, the press dropped a nuclear bomb.

Harvey went viral—along with his little homemade movie.

The famous Hollywood producer had suddenly become a new kind of "Hollywood star." A company from Sacred Valley even called to ask if he'd be willing to act in a real movie.

Boom!

Harvey slammed the phone down and punched the coffee table in rage.

Then the phone rang again.

"Fuck! I said I'm not making your damn movie!" Harvey screamed into the receiver.

A familiar voice replied in surprise, "What movie?"

It was Georgina Chapman.

Harvey froze, then his face turned cold. "Georgina? Why are you calling?"

Her tone was icy. "Harvey, do I need to spell out what you've done? I want a divorce. And don't think you're getting out of paying alimony."

Harvey laughed coldly. "Really? Alimony? You think I don't know what you've been up to?"

Georgina paused. She thought Harvey had found out about her night with Martin…

But then he said:

"I know all about the crap you pulled with Brad Pitt. Hmph. You want a divorce? Fine. But alimony? Keep dreaming."
