Kyel glanced toward the man approaching him, who extended a hand for a handshake. A faint scent of medicinal herbs lingered in the air around him, and his hand was stained with white dust.
Kyel shook it, saying nothing, waiting for the man to speak first and break the silence.
"We don't get many visitors in this part of the building," the man said casually. "Maybe two or three a week, but still, the number is low."
"I wasn't visiting," Kyel replied. "Just passing through."
The man looked surprised. "Oh? I thought students were restricted from coming here."
He placed a hand behind his head and grinned. "Ahaha, but I suppose things are different when you're red-haired!"
"But you know," he added, "it's really the same for everyone. You don't always have to be red-haired—just know how to hide it."
"My name is Dwayne. Dwayne Dwight. I'm an architectural engineer."
