I stand in front of the dead bodies, the air thick with the scent of blood and burning flesh.
A week from now, I'll be heading into the S-Class dungeon hunt.
For now, I'm just doing some clean-up.
With my hands in my pockets, I watch as Korin and Kirelle deal with the remaining stragglers.
Kirelle is a wildfire in human form, her flames crackling and roaring as she twists her hands in sharp, practiced motions. Each movement conjures a new inferno, turning the battlefield into a molten wasteland. The fire glows hot against her dark skin, illuminating the sharp glint of her narrowed eyes as she steps forward, flicking her fingers.
A streak of white-hot flame arcs toward an enemy who barely has time to scream before igniting—his body collapsing into charred remains in mere seconds.
Korin, in contrast, moves like the wind itself—fast, precise, untouchable.
