Aira and Ito sat cross-legged on the futon, facing the small TV in the corner of the room. The remote lay between them like a precious artifact, a silent battlefield waiting to be claimed.
"Give it to me," Aira demanded, gripping one end of the remote.
"No. I'm going to watch my show," Ito replied, tightening his hold.
Aira narrowed her eyes. "The TV belongs to my Master, so I have the right to decide what we watch!"

Aira growled, ears twitching in frustration. "Damn it! You're so annoying!"
"Oh, I hear that a lot." Ito shrugged, unfazed.
"Just give it to me!" she cried, pulling harder.
"No!" Ito pulled back with equal force.
