Chapter 130 - 90. Delivered(Part 2)

Several Pokémon heard this and nodded hurriedly.

Seeing that they could comprehend, Evan felt even more satisfied. After waving his hand, Evan looked at Sophia. Noticing this, Sophia retrieved boxes one by one from her bag, handing them over and placing them in Evan's hands.

"This is what you wanted," she said. "Everything adds up to a total of 1 Billion pokédollars. I don't need you to pay me now. When the time comes, just deduct it from next month's share."

Evan nodded in agreement, having no objections. After all, even if asked to produce 1 billion pokédollars now, he wouldn't be able to manage it. This arrangement suited him well since it had been his intention from the start.

After receiving the boxes, Evan placed them on the ground and opened them one by one. Inside were Mega Stones—the one for Rayquaza, as well as the stones for Pidgeot and Charizard X. There were also Mega Stones for other Pokémon, carefully packaged by Sophia. She had spared no effort, buying those with suitable prices and ensuring Evan had what he needed.

Alongside the Mega Stones, the boxes contained a detailed expense list. Evan gave it a quick glance, noting that the prices matched Sophia's earlier statement. He inspected the Mega Stones briefly before setting them aside, planning to distribute them later to Pidgeot or Charizard. For now, he would hold onto them until the appropriate decorations for his Pokémon were ready.

Finally, Evan's eyes rested on the Mega Stone for Rayquaza. He took it out of the box, holding it in his hands as he connected with it through his Psychic abilities. The mysterious energy within responded, emitting a burst of colorful light before fading quickly. It was so fleeting that an inattentive observer might mistake it for an illusion, but Evan saw it clearly. Surprise flashed across his face. Had the stone reacted to him?

He found it peculiar but chose not to overthink it. Perhaps it was a natural response to his Psychic abilities. Sophia, however, was oblivious to this, her attention focused entirely on her Pokémon. She had already released the rest of her team, including her Munchlax.

Evan examined the hefty Mega Stone again before tucking it away. Though uncertain when he might need it, he decided it was better to save it for a future opportunity. What Evan didn't realize was that as the light from the Mega Stone flickered, several Rayquazas sleeping in the ozone layer stirred, their eyes briefly opening to glance in his direction.

"Has another human obtained that artifact?" one of them mused before resuming its slumber. Most Rayquazas felt no need for the stone, but the younger ones might, particularly with the possibility of an egg in the future. They concluded to deal with it when the time came and drifted back into their deep sleep.

Evan carefully stored the Mega Stones and shifted the discussion to Sophia's business. She had specific requests regarding her new Pokémon's training.

"I hope Evan can help me train Munchlax," Sophia began. "Its current strength is at the beginner level. I'd like it to reach the Peak level, starting with intermediate energy cubes. After half a month, I'll switch to high-end food, and eventually, top-quality food. The goal is to maximize its attributes."

Sophia continued, "Evan , you should have Munchlax's exclusive energy cubes, right? Use those and ensure it eats well every day while training. Double its food portions."

Sophia had thought this through. While Munchlax loved to rest after eating, Sophia wouldn't allow it. Though she found its plump and adorable demeanor endearing, she wanted a powerful Pokémon.

"When it's full, it trains," she insisted.

"Eat and train at the same time. After training, eat enough and go to bed." This was Sophia's plan to use significant resources to enhance the strength of her Flash Munchlax.

Evan nodded as he listened to her explanation. "This is straightforward, no problem. Just leave it to me. However, I can't handle Munchlax's intimacy issues. You're its trainer, so you'll need to manage that."

"As for the price, I can't give you a fixed estimate," Evan added. "It depends on Munchlax's appetite, after all. You can pay me as much as you think is fair when the time comes. What do you think?"

Sophia nodded. Evan outlined his approach quickly. Training Munchlax wouldn't be difficult; Gardevoir could easily manage that part. The only concern was its food consumption. With Munchlax's insatiable appetite, a month's worth of food could vanish in no time, requiring energy cubes and resources in large quantities.

But this wasn't without its benefits. Sophia's approach of eating and training simultaneously would help Munchlax grow stronger rapidly. However, evolution still hinged on Sophia. Unlike mere physical growth, evolution required sufficient intimacy between Pokémon and trainer.

Evan explained, "Munchlax's evolution isn't just about strength. There's also a condition of intimacy with its trainer. That's entirely up to you."

Sophia laughed confidently. "Don't worry. There's no need to fret over this issue. Munchlax and I have been close enough for a long time. Right, Munchlax?"

Munchlax responded cheerfully. "Munch~~!!"

Sophia had been relentless in spoiling her Shiny Munchlax, feeding it all kinds of delicious meals and intimacy-boosting snacks. Its evolution was already within reach, but she had intentionally suppressed it using an Everstone. Without it, Munchlax would have evolved long ago.

She showed Evan the Everstone affixed to Munchlax.

What else could Evan say? Sophia's method of pouring money into her Pokémon was impressive.

Sophia smiled and elaborated on her plan. "I plan to wait until its strength reaches the Peak level before allowing it to evolve. Evan, just proceed as you see fit. Once it's at the Peak level, you can remove the Everstone. I've already explained this to Munchlax."

True to Sophia's words, Munchlax had no objections to being left with Evan. It saw no issue in a setup where it could eat, drink, and grow stronger simultaneously. For Munchlax, this arrangement was paradise. And with such a wealthy trainer as its owner, what more could it ask for?
