By the time everyone had gotten changed and stopped for lunch, there was a distinct air of confused feelings between the Class 1A group; There were the thoughts of curiosity toward Kenshi Yoshiyasu, mainly stemming from why the guy was sitting at a table alone after grabbing lunch from Lunch Rush though it was also tinged with the relief that he wasn't as loud or as bombastic as Bakugo.
Kenshi had gotten used to lunch in solitude and it was something he didn't mind, UA wasn't lacking in security so he couldn't follow through on his normal habit of eating on the roof but now he had the chance to think on what Aizawa said about him and his issues with restraint.
"You're all by yourself, Ken-chan?" Tsuyu asked as she walked over and sat next to him with a tray of food. "You shy about other people or do you just like the quiet?"
Kenshi smiled a little as he saw Tsuyu joining him, it was nice that he had a friendly face to talk to. "Well…It's kind of a force of habit, actually…Middle School was kind of chaotic inside and it gets overwhelming sometimes when lunch rolls around so I kinda did the stereotype of eating on the roof." He admitted with a slight hint of embarrassment while he picked at a piece of carrot.
Tsuyu mulled it over; "I can see the reasoning but it can't have been all bad, could it? You must have had SOME friends to hang around with during Middle School…" She asked him, tapping her chin as she moved her jello in front of her with her spoon.
"I-"
"So this is where you got to, Record Breaker!" Iida said with a rather sudden appearance as a he placed his tray down in front of Kenshi; "Mind if we join you? Infinity Girl approached me earlier and said it would be good to catch things up."
Kenshi was knocked out of his awkward answer but moreso surprised that Iida of all people had opted to approach him for something as simple as eating in solidarity but he was still open to having company with more prospective friends. "Sure, table's always open for you guys."
"You know, you could always sit with other people…I think everyone's got questions about you and most of them are about what happened at the test with Aizawa earlier." Uraraka mentioned as she sat with the trio; "But I'm surprised that you of all people are-oh, hi Tsuyu!" She said and smiled as she saw the froggy girl with Kenshi.
"Hey Uraraka, nice work out there on the test…Though I remember telling you to call me Tsu, though." Tsuyu greeted but then changed to her usual correction as she pointed a spoonful of lime jelly at Uraraka; "I think first day at UA's a little nerve wracking for everyone."
"That is accurate, though you must be able to overcome your anxieties quickly if you wish to make the most of UA and as a Pro Hero, Yoshiyasu!" Iida explained with a hand chop; After the initial bumpy first introduction and seeing him now when there wasn't scholarship at stakes, it was clear that Iida was just an intense yet earnest person with emphasis on intense.
"Well, you can't really overcome being nervous that easy, Iida…Especially not as fast as you'd like it to." Uraraka pointed out as she finished her rice; "Besides, I'm pretty sure most people would take shy and quiet over…"
"THE HELL ARE YOU LOOKING AT, EXTRA?!"
"That…" Iida finished as he saw Bakugo essentially giving off a warning growl to a student with what looked like black hair in a corkscrew style. "And to think he's willing to keep that demeanour in the Hero class with us."
Kenshi sighed; "Well, we're going to be learning together so maybe he'll figure out that his attitude won't fly anymore." He admitted as he stuck a piece of beef in his mouth.
"Anymore? You know him from before UA?" Uraraka asked curiously as she rubbed her ear following the sudden outburst and eagerly wanted to divert the topic away if it meant not eyeballing Bakugo. "You two seemed to know each other at the entrance exam when I saw you."
Kenshi quickly chewed down another vegetable as he glanced up; "Yeah, we went to middle school together….He was Mr Popular and I was more of the "Quietly sit in the back" kind of student." He admitted though he deliberately kept it vague, something that Tsuyu seemed to notice and mentally reminded herself to quiz him about later; "Still, we have one last class before we break for the day."
Ochako nodded as she smiled at the prospect of another potentially exciting lesson. "Yeah, I know it's only the first day but I'm guessing they're gonna pull out all the stops to make us feel like it was worth the trouble."
No sooner did they realise that the Gravity girl was right once they took their seats in class later.
"I. AM. HERE!" A voice that was very familiar both to the ears and to the face when All-Might came swinging through the door in one of his vintage Hero Costumes.
Kenshi felt his pride swell when he saw his teacher walking through, though he certainly was able to contain himself better than others who were meeting him for the first time.
"Now then, students! You will be studying Heroics by myself and other teachers so make sure you listen carefully to what I have to say." All-Might explained to the class before dramatically and yet somehow intricately writing out the name of their first class.
"ALL-MIGHT'S SPECIAL EDITION COMBAT TRAINING!"
Seeing the words etched out on the board was more than enough to stoke excitement as for some it meant that it was the closest thing to doing Hero Work but it also brought about some anxieties for people who had non-offensive Quirks, however for someone like Bakugo; It was like Christmas Morning and he got a copy of Kenshi's expulsion notice all in one.
"Alright! Now I can put myself back where I should be among these extras…Right at the top of the goddamn food chain." Bakugo thought to himself as he felt his smile grow from ear to ear. "Let's see that oversized pile of manure outdo me where it counts!"
As the other students grabbed a numbered case off of the wall which held their costume, the group slowly whittled down until it was just Kenshi and All-Might left since he asked the boy to stay behind for a moment. "Uh…I think I can explain…"
"There's no need to, Young Yoshiyasu…I believe we mentioned it before but with the months you spent trying to get your Quirk under control and the subsequent training plan for the Entrance exam, it didn't exactly give you a moment for filling out a Hero Costume request." All-Might said with a rather apologetic look after turning back to his skinny form since they were alone. "I spoke with Aizawa and Principal Nezu about delaying your costume deadline since there's something in the works already, it might take a week but you'll be surprised at what I-Island's best has cooking up for you."
"I…What?" Kenshi asked with a confused tone in his voice; "Mr. All-Might, I'm already grateful for them helping me to train, I can't accept them footing my Hero Costume as well…It feels…Undeserved when I haven't even done anything for them…" He admitted with a rather conflicted look on his face.
"Huh…He's a lot more humble about this than I thought he'd be…" Toshinori thought to himself before trying to negotiate his point. "Nonsense! You've given those researchers plenty to think about regarding Quirk development and the potential that people have with multi-faceted Quirks…Besides, if you were to just turn it away like that, Melissa would be disappointed."
"Melissa?"
The Symbol of Peace felt himself seize up as he accidentally let it slip that Melissa was somehow involved in this. "Uh….Yes, she helped with your Quirk training and she wanted to pay that investment back for all the information you helped to provide. In a Hero's line of work, as dubious as it sounds; You need to capitalise on the people who stick with you…I can't tell you how many times that David helped ME out with his gadgets and tech." He backpedaled and tried to divert the topic; "Anyway, get your gym gear and head to the Training Grounds to get ready, I'll catch up with you."
Kenshi looked confused about All-Might's change in demeanour but decided to drop it for now as he headed out the door to try catching up.
Toshinori on the other hand breathed out a sigh of relief; "Thank goodness I was able to avoid spilling ALL of the beans, Melissa would've been upset if I spoiled the whole surprise…Nonetheless, I should get going too." He thought before mustering up the energy to return to his Buff Mode.
Outside of the Training grounds where everyone took the entrance exam; Class 1-A were all dressed up in their Hero costumes, some looked fitting of the part like Iida and his pristine armour or Sero's dispenser resembling costume. Some however looked distinct or almost villain-like such as Tokoyami and his black cloak over his body, Uraraka and Mina's bodysuits or Bakugo's explosive lined costume.
"It is true what they say, young zygotes…"The Clothes Make the Man!" but it is your job as Heroes to ensure you can walk the walk as well." All-Might explained as he was back in buff form and holding on to two boxes in front of him. "You will be involved in a simple Hero-Villain scenario: The Villains have hijacked a building with a dangerous weapon! The Hero Team are tasked with finding the weapon and capturing it or by detaining the Villains…The Villains' objective is equally as simple: They have to either let time run out on the clock or you detain the heroes…Any Questions?" He finished and looked to the group with his cape flapping in the breeze.
"Yeah, are we going to different areas for this like the entrance exam?"
"Will we be assigned teams or do we choose our own?"
"What's the rule of injuring a classmate?"
"How come Yoshiyasu isn't in costume?"
"Isn't my Caped Costume snazzy~?"
All-Might felt the stream of questions overwhelm him before snapping everyone to attention. "Everyone, please! One at a time, my Quirk isn't Super-Hearing!" He cut the questions short and cleared his throat; "Alright, in order of your asking: 1. You will remain here, 2. We will be drawing lots to determine teams and matches, 3. You may go all out but you will be stopped before things get too out of hand or if you injure your ally, 4. There are delays with Young Yoshiyasu's costume but he has been allowed to use his gym uniform and 5. Yes, very dashing!" He finished with a thumbs up and rattled off the answer to the questions before gesturing to each student, pairing them up before using the lots to determine their matchups and who they were up against.

Once they were all escorted to the observation booth for the first match; Kenshi and Uraraka remained outside so they could prepare for the battle inside while Iida and Bakugo formulate their own plan, or rather that Iida declared a plan which the explosive boy adamantly refused to acknowledge. "Bakugo, be honest with me on this…Villain to Villain, why do you have such a disdain for Yoshiyasu, even if you two aren't on the best of terms in your old school then you can at le-"
Unfortunately for Iida, all Bakugo was hearing from him was white noise; He had it all planned out from the moment he knew that UA was All-Might's school, he'd make his Quirk the strongest that there was, blast through UA at top of the class and kick down anyone who even had the thought that they could match him. Though it all threw his plan off the ideal course when Kenshi decided to try joining UA too. "That damned Number 2 Nerd, all that time acting like such a goody two shoes and pretending like he didn't hear anything I say to him or Deku…Then he suddenly decided he had a backbone and threw a swing at me, now he's running around and acting like he can stand in the same ring as me!" He thought to himself and grit his teeth in seething rage.
"Bakugo? Bakugo! You need to listen to me, if we are going to earn our place and garner the greatest that the Alma Mater has to offer the-"
"Will you shut up!?" Bakugo finally snapped as he got to his feet; "You can do whatever you want in here, you upper class Extra but just answer me this one question…Cow Boy back there, did you know about his Quirk?"
Iida turned to look at Bakugo with a mix of confusion and some faint unamusement at his teammate's rudeness; "I thought you had watched the entire thing, despite the fact that you were laughing at him the whole way…" He pointed out with a less than impressed frown; "Needless to say, for this task to go successfully, I'll suggest you not go after him si-"
"I'm going down there and you stay up here if you know what's good for you." Bakugo growled as he headed to the door with a renewed sense of anger in his stomach. "I'm gonna make that backwater bitch regret EVER trying to punk me by acting Quirkless for all that time!"
Meanwhile outside of the building sat Kenshi who was trying to come up with a plan that could work for the both of them; "So if I try going in through the front, then Iida could potentially be the main vanguard and speed blitz us from the halls….I can handle myself okay if I turn invisible and sneak past but Uraraka could end up getting caught more easily and detained if I just leave her to fend for herself." He muttered to himself as he gazed down at his wristbands. "Then again I could always run through the walls and make my own way up but that leaves the question of where they put it and how far they're both willing to go to stop u-"
"Hey, Cowboy?" Uraraka asked as she walked over to join him as the nickname knocked him out of his muttering; "Let's just calm it down and take it slow…." She tried to reassure him and lightly pat his back; "You don't have to worry about anything, it's just a training exercise after all."
"Yeah, for some people it is…But I get the feeling that this is gonna be a lot less straightforward once we get in there…" Kenshi admitted as he glanced to Uraraka, surprised that the shorter girl was so open with him and quick to try calming him.
"How do you mean? Like being monitored by Mr. All-Might and the others for this? Or because you have to run this against Iida?" Uraraka asked him curiously as she could tell something was weighing on him. "Or maybe it's because we're up against Bakugo…Because I'll be honest, he kinda makes me a little nervous too."
Kenshi laughed a little at her comment but ultimately nodded as they walked through the doors into the building; "You saw Bakugo's Quirk during the Assessment…If we're doing that inside of a building like this, that might lead to problems…The fact that I'm on the opposite team means that he's gonna be gunning for it."
Uraraka started putting the pieces together on this and tried to find the right way to approach things; "You knew him from Middle School…Was he…You know…Mean to you?"
"He's mean to everyone…." Kenshi stated bluntly as he stood up; "But thankfully, I hope that the plan I've got is enough to offset him if it comes to it." He said as he then kept a watch out as he knew that Bakugo in close quarters plus in a narrow corridor was bad even for someone like him.
"Just let me know what you've got cooked up and I'll be good." Uraraka saluted as she leaned in close for Kenshi to detail his plan and after he pulled away, they started to walk again. "How do you even know if Bakugo would be coming for us anyway? He could very well just be patrolling on one of the upper floors o-"
"COW BOY!" A familiar yell rang out as a bright yellow blur came barrelling around the corner and swung his arm out when he heard Kenshi's voice.
Kenshi however was fully prepared as he shoved Uraraka behind him as he took the brunt of Bakugo's explosions; "You know…I was hoping to try thinking outside of the box…." He admitted to himself as he lowered his arm which now had a charred half of his top where Bakugo blasted him but was lucky enough that he healed the burns before the smoke cleared; "Then again, what else did I expect from you?"
"Quit acting like you're a mind reader, Cow Boy…I ain't in the mood to listen to you yap." Bakugo growled as he reared his arm back. "Now do us both a favour and throw this thing if you know what's good for you."
"Hey, you can't just make that demand of us, we want to pass too!" Uraraka yelled back at him as she was started to get tired of Bakugo's attitude. "Plus even if you're playing a villain for this test, you're taking the whole thing too far."
"Uraraka, don't…The only thing that this guy cares about is results and he intends on getting to the top any way he can." Kenshi warned her as he stared down Bakugo; "Besides…This way I can be sure that he's not exactly creative with this setup."
"I didn't ask for your opinion, Round Face and I sure as hell didn't ask for your's either, you hilbilly trash!" Bakugo snarled at them and made some angry sparks in his hands to warn them about sassing him. "Now, do the "Heroic thing" and get on your knees….it'll be less painful than standing up to me."
Uraraka couldn't believe that Iida was right about this guy's audacity; She mostly had the belief that no one could be that bigheaded or arrogant to want to be a Hero, though what really surprised her even more was seeing Kenshi getting down on his knees without even protesting. "H-Hey, what are you doing?" She whispered to Kenshi as she glanced to him
"He's figuring out who's the better person…Though I expected someone like him to run away at the sight of someone who is his superior." Bakugo sneered as he kicked a pebble towards the kneeling Kenshi, smirking a little when he saw the rubble fragment smack him in the cheek and made his "lesser's" eye twitch.
Uraraka bit the inside of her cheek to stop herself from compromising what Kenshi had told her about the plan and decided to play along. "If he's beneath you, then why are you so obsessed with pointing that out? I'd have thought that you wouldn't need to prove yourself to someone like him."
"I don't."
"Then you're either the pettiest bully that I've ever met or you REALLY have some deep seated problems stuck in that overinflated head of your's." Uraraka remarked with her own smirk at him, however instead of it being one of malice; Her's was one of emboldened courage from whatever she could muster. "It would explain a lot about you if that was the case."
The incensed grenadier growled as he felt his anger rising, "You better shut your mouth before I blast you away!" Bakugo yelled as he placed his focus on Uraraka and stomped over to her to tower over the shorter girl. "Because I've got nothing to prove to a round faced shortass and some out of town bumpkin who didn't even get his own costume!"
Smirking internally at how easy it was to distract him, Uraraka hoped that this would work. "Yeah…But at least he doesn't need a costume to be a Hero, he's already one from what I could see."
Bakugo had enough at that as he felt a vein pulse on his temple; "Fine, you wanna act tough, then try to BE tough too!" He snarled as he reared his arm back to ready an explosive swing; However before he could draw it back down again, he felt something tightly wrap around his midriff and almost felt like a pair of arms. "Gh…What the?!"
"Y'know, if you spent half your time focusing on your supposed problem as you do putting them down…You'd have noticed my friend wasn't next to me anymore." Uraraka said with the uncontrollable urge to smugly grin as Bakugo was then lifted upward into the air.
With a roar from the unseeable; Kenshi quickly reappeared as he pulled Bakugo backwards into the air and slamming back down in what looked like a painful looking suplex. "URARAKA, NOW!" He yelled as he kept holding Bakugo tightly.
"Got it!" Ochaco nodded as she used her Quirk on herself to float over the two and began heading up the stairs; "If I can guess Iida's kind of thinking, he'd have put the weapon on the top floor where only he could protect it…Only one way to find out."
Once Uraraka rounded the corner and headed up the stairs, Kenshi let go of Bakugo and rolled away before he got a face full of Napalm Palm. "Alright…Part one complete…Let's see how far we can push i-" He started to think before Bakugo's palm blasted him mid-roll.
"You must've been laughing your ass off this whole time…Weren't you?" Bakugo snarled as he climbed to his feet, even he had to admit the sudden shock to his system after getting slammed into the ground got his body aching. "Even now, you're trying to play yourself off as a pansy!"
"What are you talking about?" Kenshi asked as he got to his feet and kept his eye on Bakugo, "Where'd you get the idea that I've been laughing at you? Sure I might not see eye to eye with you on things but that doesn't mean that I-"
"Bull. Shit!" Bakugo snapped as he let off a few mini explosions in his palm; "It's that stupid act you pulled ever since we met…You're trying to act all humble but the moment that my back turns, you give me the finger by flexing your Quirk to try upstaging me when I should be the one on top of everyone else! You did it in Middle School, you did it in the Entrance Exam and on top of that…You made ME look like the bad guy during that bum looking teacher's Quirk test!" He growled as he swung his arm at Kenshi who ducked under it.
"You made YOURSELF the bad guy when you started laughing your butt off at someone failing class AND by trying to play the alpha male card in the cafeteria!" Kenshi argued back as he countered with a swift palm strike to Bakugo's torso to knock him back a little before trying to calm himself down; He knew that his Quirk could and would fluctuate if his temper acted out and he didn't want to act excessive, even if it was Bakugo trying to push him. "Besides, you can deny it all you want but I'm not trying to downplay my Quirk in any way…I'm taking steps to make sure I can use it properly without hurting someone."
"There it is again! You're humble bragging about that Quirk of your's and you just couldn't help rubbing it in my face at the Apprehension test this morning…You look down on me and think I'm too weak to handle your shitty power!" Bakugo yelled as he rocketed off of his palms towards Kenshi at blinding speed; Using the momentum to kick him in the face and once the taller boy got knocked off balance, the blonde started to swing his arms down to try pummelling Kenshi with his gauntleted arms as he hit the ground. "You. Are. Beneath. Me! You. Are. Nothing. But. A. Forgettable. Side. Character!" He continued to bellow down at Kenshi as he made sure that every swing coming down on him hurt.
All-Might and the other students watched from the observation room as Kenshi was mounted by Bakugo and mercilessly beaten into the floor, while Uraraka was doing her best to get one over on Iida who had decided to go all in on being a villain on the other screen.
Momo Yaoyorozu and Koji Koda both looked outright shocked that Bakugo was willing to take things this far though Koda was even more worried since he could actually read Bakugo's lips just like Kyoka Jiro could.
Kirishima had initially cheered Kenshi for his quoted "Manliest Suplex ever dropped in a class" but he also had some underlying worry when he saw Bakugo turn the tables on him with an avalanche of gauntleted swings.
Jiro and Mina Ashido both shared an uncomfortable look at how quickly things escalated and some minor confusion as to how Kenshi had previously blown everyone's records out of the water yet was easily being beaten by Bakugo.
"Um…Mr. All-Might? Don't you think that this is getting a little too excessive?" Kaminari asked as he couldn't help but feel sorry for Yoshiyasu when another gauntleted arm swung down and hit him in the skull, causing what looked like a crack in the floor underneath Kenshi's head. "I mean, we can't exactly hear what they're saying but I don't think you need to be a lipreader to know what's going down…"
All-Might watched the silent feed of the two however he found himself conflicted as to how to approach this; On one hand, he knew that Kenshi was more than capable and strong enough to stand up on his own, to rise to the challenge of the eventuality that someone bigger and stronger would fight him...But something in the back of his mind felt like this was something that needed to be addressed if what Aizawa mentioned to him was correct. "If these two are going to be working together at this school…I think now's probably a good time as any to let them get this out of their system…I can't afford to show favouritism towards Young Yoshiyasu but I also can't just sit idly and let Young Bakugo throw his weight around like this." All-Might thought as he grabbed the receiver to issue a warning but then saw the fight start to escalate.
All this scenario did was show that Kenshi was a lot more durable than he looked…And that Bakugo was a lot more brutal when given the chance.
"You cannot trick me with your calming words, Hero!" Iida boomed out in his Villainous Persona as he pointed to Uraraka who he caught when she burst out laughing during his rehearsal. "You just want me to let my guard down so you can steal the weapon for yourself!"
Uraraka shook her head; "No, I'm talking about making sure that Bakugo doesn't kill Yoshiyasu down there!" She explained and then gestured to the door; "But fine…If this is what it'll take for you to see that our friend's in trouble then I'll win this!" She glanced around to try and find any kind of debris or loose object for her Quirk to use.
"Hweh Hweh Hweh! I knew that if you were going to be on the Hero's team, then I'd be prepared for the scenario that you would show up; If Yoshiyasu was the one then I'd use my Quirk to move the Weapon around until time runs out…The real threat was you." Iida said with his newly appointed "Villain" voice though he did falter for a moment when he noticed a look of worry on Uraraka's face
Uraraka blinked; "Iida considered me a threat over Cowboy?" She then glanced around to see the floor was practically a mirror and all of the shelving in the room was empty and devoid of anything bar the weapon and Iida. "Oh…That's why."
"After watching you use your Quirk in the test earlier today, I've noticed that you need to make physical contact to make something weightless so I cleaned this entire room and made sure that there was NOTHING you could use as a weapon." Iida said with an almost professional sounding gloat though he also glossed over the fact that he basically tossed it all out of the window when Yoshiyasu and Uraraka walked in
Uraraka felt nervous as she noticed that he had her pegged from the start and all she could really do at that moment is hope that either Iida slips up somewhere in his tangent or that the fight downstairs with Kenshi and Bakugo would finish. "I need to find something…anything to throw him off bal-wait…that's it!" She thought to herself as she tapped her hands to herself to remove her weight, rushing forward and then hopping towards the ceiling to get above him but knocking some of the ceiling tiles down in the process as she tried to navigate.
Iida watched the tiles fall and then began swatting them away as they came at him in bulk; "URARAKA! Even if this is a building for training, this is still school property; Stop uprooting all of the ceiling!" He scolded her but then realised that she had moved in the flurry of falling debris and saw her face turn to shock with her hand to her ear, adjusting her floating so her body tucked itself into the corner of the room before landing. "She's up to something…I can't afford to take my eyes off of her for even a second…" Iida thought for a moment but was shocked out of his tangent, grabbing the weapon and moved it to the window as he could feel a rumbling; The ground in the middle of the room then cracked and exploded upward with a shower of rubble that flew upwards.
—Just a Few Seconds Before—
Bakugo was pushed off when Yoshiyasu got his arms free to knock him away and then got some distance from him. "So why did you do all of this, Cow Boy? Were you that petty to ruin my whole plan to become a Hero? Or just jealous that I could get more popular than a weakling like you or Deku ever could?" The boy sneered as he gestured his finger at Yoshiyasu who looked more bedraggled thanks to the pummeling he got.
"I did this because I actually wanna be a Hero and help people…Not because of the money or the fame like you do…" Yoshiyasu said as he spat out some blood from his mouth. "But because I wanna be someone who can stand up to people like you."
"What, you mean like awesome badasses who stand at the top?" Bakugo remarked with a smirk; "Because good news, you're right if you think that I'm that! I've proven every time that I can be more popular than your whole "Wholesome farmboy bullshit" and on top of that…I still have a Quirk that'll take me even higher than anyone else at this school…All it'll take is time to prove it." He bragged as he then aimed his gauntlet at Yoshiyasu since he wanted to shut him up.
"No…I haven't said anything to anyone here at school since for some reason: They still wanna give you a chance but I know exactly the kind of person that you are." Kenshi stated as he then cracked his knuckles. "You're a bully…Plain and simple, you've gunned for me and Izuku all through Middle School…But not anymore…You might call me a dumbass, a weakling or a hillbilly but from now until we graduate; I'm gonna do my utmost to prove you wrong and show you that being a hero isn't all about the popularity or the strongest Quirk! I'm gonna show you that I don't need to stand at the top as Number One…All I need to do is prove that I can do it better than you." Kenshi said with a furrowed brow and a forced grin on his face to show he was serious about it.
Bakugo on the other hand was feeling like every cell in his body was about to erupt with burning anger at seeing him come out and saying what he was thinking; His fist clenched hard as he aimed his gauntlet at Kenshi with a burning desire to wipe him out. "I should have enough stored to blow this conceited fuck out of the building if those Support stiffs have followed through!" He thought to himself as he decided to clue him in; "Since you decided to go all in, I'll give you a little secret that no one other than Deku knows…My sweat can become nitroglycerin and once enough is stored up, I can release it all in one like this!"
Kenshi's eyes widened as he saw the muzzle in Bakugo's gauntlet begin to glow before glancing around to check his surroundings; "If I'm guessing right, this is still right in the middle of the building…I have to stop this before Bakugo blows out the entire floor and me with it!" He thought quickly before tapping his transceiver to Uraraka. "Uraraka, where are you now?!"
"Top floor, near the center of the room, I can see the weapon with it near the back of the room! But I've got nothing to use my Quirk on…"
"Alright, keep away from the center and grab onto something, if I plan this right then you'll be able to have plenty of ammo." Kenshi said before hanging up as he then braced himself for what was about to happen.
"YOUNG BAKUGO, STOP! If you fire that in the building, you could kill him!" All-Might finally tried to intervene though the receivers when he saw what was about to happen and knew that even someone as durable as Kenshi was playing a dangerous game against what could be a powerful explosion.
"It'll only kill this loser if it hits him dead on!" Bakugo remarked with a manic grin as it was already too late to stop when the Explosive Boy pulled the pin on his gauntlet; What emerged was a plume of explosive force that rocketed across the hall towards Kenshi at an unmatched speed, the sound of it and the subsequent rumbling shattered several of the windows and rattled the upper floors.
But this wasn't bound to last for long as the explosion's path then diverted upwards at a faster pace, blowing out the ceiling of each floor in a blossom of rubble and the rumbling sound of thunder drowned out the explosion as Kenshi appeared from the smoke with a fierce look on his face and both hands clapped together in front of him. Without even so much as a comment, he then zipped towards the "Villain" at a blinding speed and with an equal level of caution; He raised his leg and hit Bakugo with a Big Boot that had enough strength to knock him off his feet with enough force to fly through the wall and out of the building.
Uraraka meanwhile used the shower of debris along with a gravity cancelled pillar to hit Iida with before hopping over the hole and the would be "Other Villain" to latch onto the Weapon, securing their victory. "G-Got the Weapon!" She tiredly cheered as Iida melodramatically screamed his failures.
Bakugo coughed a little as he sat up on his arms after the shock wore off but the dull throbbing of his bruised chest remained. "What the hell was that…One minute he was there without even a goddamn scratch and then somehow I ended up out here in the next?!"
Kenshi was quick to stand in the hole as he headed out to Bakugo. "I…I didn't want to use my full power on you because it's dangerous…If I hit you wrong or if I use too much then I could hurt someone of worse, I've trained myself to ensure that never happens on my watch but to see you disregard that is nothing short of frightening… You may find it hard to believe that I didn't want to hurt you but I needed to stop this before you escalated any further." Kenshi stated with a grim look before holding a hand out to try helping him up. "Come on…You still put up a helluva fight so let's go meet the ot-" He offered but then stopped his words when Bakugo smacked his hand away.
"You keep that softhearted, patronising pile of dung away from me!" Bakugo snarled as he flopped backward but kept his venomous glare on Kenshi; "Keeping restraint on a flashy Quirk like that makes you weak, Cow Boy…I don't need you trying to be my friend and I sure as fuck don't need your pity! So if you're done pretending to be the good guy…Go straight to Hell!"
As Kenshi, Uraraka and Iida all headed back on their own accord, All-Might had requested for a stretcher to get Bakugo examined since he was no stranger to potential damage during a wall crash. "A-Alright, Hero Team…..WINS!"
