No more words were exchanged between Ares and Angel, as he drove into his parking space in Kolasi, and stopped the car.
He stepped out of the car, and saw Xander immediately standing next to him.
"She has a problem with her leg. Take her to her old room with Nadia, and have her tell you a number to call to ensure the princess is okay."
"Wait what? Where is the princess?" He asked worriedly.
"With her fiance. Good luck." He tapped his shoulder twice, before walking away.
In alarm, Xander moved to the passenger seat where Angel was struggling to come down from.
"Let me help you," he said, as he held her hands.
He was going to carry her in his arms, and then he remembered that Ares might act unconcerned now, but when everything is resolved, he would be punished for holding the woman he loved weirdly.
And so, he settled for letting her lean on him.
"Don't worry. I can work on my own. I'll just limp, but I can walk," she said, to his surprise, and to his relief.
