Hua Zi glared at her and floated out of the kitchen, moving into Mu Bai's room. He tossed a box, neither too large nor too small, to her and said in an ethereal voice tinged with anger, "Open it and see what's inside."
Lai Bao hesitated as she picked up the box. Having lived in the apartment for so long, this was the first time she had seen this box, and she had a vague foreboding. It seemed that Hua Zi was about to reveal something she did not know, and it was certainly not going to be anything good.
With trepidation, she opened the box, and what appeared before her eyes were three syringes of various sizes along with a row of neatly packaged, yet unopened, needles. "What... what is this?"
Lai Bao had no idea what was going on. Why would Mu Bai be hiding syringes at home? Could it be... that he had developed a drug addiction?
There was a kind of drug that was injected into the veins.
Hua Zi tossed her two more boxes, "Take a look at this too."
