'Nest "It's just Politics" in Washington DC, destroyed.'
I softly clicked my tongue as the notification appeared before me. I slowly waved my hand and the notification disappeared. I gazed out at the horizon between the dozen or so smoking skyscrapers. Down in the streets far below hundreds of thousands of undead shuffled aimlessly.
"Master… has something happened?" a soft, melodic voice asked, a pair of arms wrapped around my waist as something soft pressed against my back. I finished draining the wine from the glass in my hand, easily crushing the glass… I let the glass dust slowly fall through my fingers. I sighed heavily as the figure behind me quickly backed away.
Several scantily clothed women looked at me with worry as I walked over to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of champagne from the fridge, draining it in a few swift gulps. I placed the bottle on the counter and stared at the beauties before me.
"Someone thinks they can fight me…" I spoke each word slowly, deliberately keeping the anger out of my voice. Yet the girls quivered under the weight of power that was slowly seeping from me regardless.
My gaze slowly moved across the group. Carla, a glorious redhead. Vivian, a beautiful young blonde gymnast. Sarah, a genius, blue eyed wiz. Kali, a succulent beauty… my gaze swept over the less notable ones.
"Where are they master? I will incinerate them." Carla smiled sweetly as the air around her began to shimmer with heat.
"I believe it's my turn to carry out master's orders." Kali replied to Carla icily, the two began staring each other down, a veritable storm brewing between the heat and freezing temperatures that were developing between the two. All seventeen women I had blessed with a fraction of my power, it warmed me somewhat that they treasured me so… I once again conveniently forgot… nevermind. This arrogant imbecile needed a lesson.
"Trista, go to DC, find out what happened, who did it…" my voice dropped at the end as a small cutesy girl bowed her head.
"Of course my master! I'll bring you their head for their defiance!" she cheerily replied as she beamed. The girl left as Carla took my side.
"Was it wise to send that girl alone?" she whispered as she ran her hands over my shoulders, gently massaging my muscles.
I cracked a small smile. "In this world, who could possibly resist my harem?"
Carla chuckled lightly, laying her head on my shoulder. Several other girls crowded around me, showing themselves to me and showering me with compliments. I put this unpleasant matter from my mind for now. I let my harem distract me. None of them doubted their little sister's competence, just her easily excitability getting the better of her in the heat of the moment.
I looked out over the New York city skyline as I slumped into a couch, my girls cozying up next to me, one slowly feeding me grapes while others gave me a massage. The whole city was under my domain, as was everything around it. Undead filled and patrolled every inch of it, a few small groups of slaves preserved at my convenience to sustain my luxuries, keeping the building powered, the water safe to drink, enough to grow some crops…
They were closely monitored by Jackals, a mutant they seemed rather afraid of… was it the maniacal laughter or the bloody teeth and serrated claws? What did it matter, they were just cattle, to keep me and my harem comfortable.
I felt a mental message from Trista. "Master, I am departing, please shower me with praise upon my successful return!"
I smiled wryly, these girls were just so energetic when it came to me. I gently tugged at Kali's hair, taking a whiff of the soft lavender scent. I closed my eyes and returned Trista's message. "That depends on your performance."
