From the top floor of the government building, a pair of father and daughter looked down upon the commotion in the streets.
"Dad, can't you stop him from doing this stuff? You're the governor of this whole planet." She frowned.
"I wish I could, dear, but even I've got to respect his father." He sighed.
"I'll make sure nothing happens to you, but we can't outright reject him. Once I gain enough merits, we leave this backwater planet, okay." Her father comforted.
The comforting moment for the two shifted, however, when the mostly reclusive government A.I. beeped into life.
"A Class 6 figure has entered the building! Please immediately head down to greet said person! 1000 Merit points will be deducted if the Governor does not comply!"
The AI only spoke a few sentences, and yet it sent chills down their spines. A class 6 figure was equivalent to a Tier 6 lord, someone who could own entire star systems.
Not only that, but a deduction of 1000 merit points would not only completely drain the governor's of all his savings; it would relegate him from a governor to a simple janitor.
"Natalie, prepare the best coffee and snacks that we have and bring them here. I'll go down and greet our V.I.P" The governor commanded.
"Right away, father!"

The difference between the summer's scorching heat and the cool, refreshing air-conditioned government building was a much-needed change of pace for Ambrosia.
Inside the government building, it looked similar to any normal lobby, with a lounge for people to wait in, and a receptionist nearby to register with.
"Hello! Can I ask what business you have with us today?" The male receptionist asked.
"I'm just here to get paid. I've got this ring that you should scan or something." She tried explaining.
"Um, I'm sorry, ma'am, but our office doesn't really have a financial wing for normal citizens. Did you mean to go over to the bank on the other block?" He asked.
With a ding from the elevator, a well-dressed older gentleman in a brown suit walked over to the receptionist area.
"Look, I'm telling you, man, can't you like scan the ring or something?" She sighed.
"Marcus, I'll take it from here." The governor responded.
Without waiting for his employee's response, the older gentleman proceeded to bow a full 90 degrees to the disheveled Ambrosia.
"It is with all due respect that I welcome you to our humble establishment, Miss. I apologize for the inconvenience you might've faced with my current employee."
Ambrosia took a momentary pause for the governor of a planet; a government worker of extremely high caliber was bowing to her, of all people.
While Ambrosia was trying to wrap her head around the fact the governor had just bowed to her, both the receptionist and the governor himself were sweating bullets from her apparent silence.
In front of them stood a person with such high standing that she'd be able to make the both of them disappear from this world with a simple wave of her hand.
With each second that passed in silence, the governor stared daggers into Marcus. He didn't know if his stupid receptionist had irritated or, worse, even belittled such an extremely important person.
To him, if the worst did happen, he would try to shift the blame onto his subordinate, hoping that he'd be spared in exchange.
"Well, alright then. You're not going to make me stand here, are you?" She questioned.
"No, no. Of course not. My daughter has prepared my office for your esteemed presence. Please follow me." He quickly corrected.
While the two rode the elevator up, Ambrosia couldn't help but question just what exactly was the background of her mysterious employer.
For one, he spent a million Eden in summon tickets every single day. Secondly, despite not even being a month into being a lord, he had already reached at least the first tier.
And now he had casually gifted her a ring that caused the governor of a small planet to basically obey her like a dog.
While glad that she was employed by someone with such a strong background, she wanted to take advantage of this situation to gauge just how powerful her backer was.
As the elevator door opened at the top floor, the smell of sweet and aromatic coffee flooded her nose.
With the smell of food so close, her stomach growled in anticipation.
"Would you like some food prepared? Our chefs are the best in the solar system, I assure you." The governor offered.
"Sure, but make it the best you've got." She replied.
Despite this level of authority being new to her, it was something that she could definitely get behind.
Sitting down at the lounge area of the governor's floor, Ambrosia took a sip of her coffee. It was perfectly warm with an incredibly rich and sweet taste.
"So Marcus informed me that you're here to exchange for some money. We'd be happy to exchange your merit points for Eden." The governor spoke.
With that the governor had finally laid out his hand. You see, despite being the one with higher authority, Ambrosia didn't have the knowledge to back up her status.
It was for that exact reason that she decided to wait, hoping the silence would pressure the governor into revealing some secrets.
And just like she expected, the fish took the bait. Although now, she had to continue her act of being someone much more powerful than she was.
"If you could, I'll just exchange maybe a thousand or so. Oh, and create it under a local bank too." She smiled.
The governor took a shallow breath. With just his yearly salary it would take him one hundred years to accumulate a thousand merit points.
Despite being able to exchange merit points for Eden, no one in their right mind would ever do so.
Unlike regular Eden, merit points could be used to buy special resources, decrease time for promotions, and access the latest life-extending procedures.
However, exchanging a single point would only acquire a person 50 thousand Eden, something that any high-level individual could make in a single afternoon.
To spend something so precious just in exchange for money, the person in front of the governor had to be an absolute powerhouse.
"Natalie, if you would?"
"I'll be back straight away." She hurriedly scurried off.
"If possible, Miss, could you possibly enlighten me on the purpose of your visit?" He asked.
"I'm just here to tour a little. Nothing more, really. Once I see everything this place has to offer, I assure you I'll leave." She chuckled.
Not long after, Natalie walked back into view from the lounge with a premium black card in her hands.
"This is the Arma V.I.P. card, Miss; you'll be able to get a 20% discount on all purchases here on this humble planet." She explained.
"Oh my, well, thank you, dear. With this, though, I'll be on my way." She smiled.
"We understand, ma'am. It was a pleasure to be in your presence." The governor praised.
Having finished her business, Ambrosia promptly left the stuffy government building.
Now that she finally had some money, it was time she rented out a luxury hotel and ate some good food.
More than that, though, she needed to confront her employer about his identity.
