I arrived on Earth.
As usual, my teleportation landed me in the middle of the city. Tokyo's streets were bright with neon lights, the sidewalks crowded with people going about their lives. But I had no time to admire the scenery—I had to find Nana.
Without hesitation, I rushed straight to our apartment. My mind raced with possibilities. Was she home? Was she safe? I could only hope.
But when I arrived—
Only Mom and Naki were there.
"Where's Nana?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
Mom looked up from her book. "She hasn't come back yet. Probably still at work."
I checked the clock—9 PM.
Too late.
A heavy feeling settled in my gut. Something was wrong.
Envi's voice rang in my mind. "We need to find her. If her coworkers are harassing her again, she could be in danger."
I nodded. No more waiting.
I turned and bolted out the door.
I ran toward Nana's office as fast as I could. The streets blurred past me, my heartbeat pounding in my ears.
