Zina POV
The air in the training hall was thick with tension, the kind that sent shivers down my spine and made my pulse race. Jared stood between me and Elara, his posture rigid, a silent warning to the woman before him. Elara, however, wasn't fazed. Her emerald eyes flicked between the two of us, unreadable, calculating.
"Zina is mine," Jared growled, his voice rough like the sound of a predator warning off another. "So, fuck off."
His words were raw, possessive, and for a moment, my breath hitched. But just as quickly, anger flared in my chest. I wasn't some prize to be claimed. I wasn't his to control.
Elara smirked, a slow, knowing expression that only irritated Jared further. "Is that so?" she mused, tilting her head. "Funny, I didn't hear her say she belongs to you."
