In the Mysterious Study Room, a map of the New World appeared on the Main God Computer's desktop.
With a mere thought, Rosen magnified the map, allowing him to easily observe nearly everything in the New World.
He tapped a finger on the display, and at his fingertip, countless projections of elemental flasks—completely invisible to the naked eye—were transmitted through the Main God Network, scattering randomly across the New World. The process continued until exactly 1,968 projections had been generated.
He possessed 164 points of divine essence and life essence, along with six original elemental flasks.
Multiplying these together, he could control up to 1,968 projections of the elemental flasks.
Once dispersed, these projections, utilizing the Sequence abilities of the Primordial Apothecary, could automatically collect everything in their vicinity and convert them into potion ingredients, sending them back to the original elemental flasks.
Be it the simplest elements like water, soil, and rock, or the emotions of the human heart—joy, anger, sorrow, and fear—or even plants and animals…
As long as it could be used to create potions, the projections would gather it.
Moreover, once a location's potion ingredients had been sufficiently collected, these projections—linked to the Main God Network—would autonomously relocate.
Since, in theory, all things in existence could be used for potion-making, these projections gathered everything.
However, they didn't collect indiscriminately—only a minuscule amount of each ingredient was required.
A single drop of water was enough. A fleeting moment of joy would suffice.
What Rosen needed wasn't quality but sheer quantity. The Primordial Apothecary required only numbers.
This extraordinary Sequence was highly unique, possessing only five abilities:
Collection, Decomposition, Refinement, Synthesis, and Tracing.
Collection allowed for gathering complete elements of all things. Decomposition could break them down in detail. Refinement purified and extracted their essence. Synthesis combined potion ingredients into potions. Lastly, Tracing granted control over the extraordinary essence produced by synthesized potions.
If an ordinary person consumed a potion created by the Primordial Apothecary and advanced to Sequence 9 as a Knight…
Then, upon successfully advancing but suddenly dying, they would typically leave behind extraordinary essence of a Sequence 9 Knight. This essence could be used to craft Sequence 9 mystical artifacts. However, with Tracing, Rosen could reclaim this extraordinary essence regardless of distance.
He could then refine the essence into a universal potion ingredient.
This led to a terrifying possibility: even if one day, the New World's potion resources were depleted, and the world's will abandoned the potion Sequences to guide the birth of a new extraordinary system, Rosen could still rely on the Primordial Apothecary Sequence to recycle extraordinary essence, ensuring an endless supply of potions.
More importantly, the Primordial Apothecary could enslave all extraordinary Sequences.
Through the Main God Marketplace, Rosen continuously purchased potion ingredients and began synthesizing potions for all known extraordinary Sequences. He then sold them at low prices, with the Miracle Flask automatically handling the potion synthesis—requiring no effort from him.
It wouldn't take long before the number of extraordinary individuals in the New World skyrocketed uncontrollably.
To make it easier for ordinary people to purchase potions, Rosen even planned to gradually open the Main God Network to the general public.
However, maintaining the Main God Network required a constant energy supply.
Until now, only those with great destiny could log into the Main God Network. This was because the network subtly siphoned off a small amount of their fate energy. Since fate energy could regenerate over time and the amount absorbed was negligible, none of them resisted.
But Rosen intended to open the Main God Network entirely—to allow even ordinary transcendents and regular people to log in.
This would drastically increase the network's energy consumption—far beyond what he could afford, even if he exhausted all his resources.
Thus, he planned to transfer the cost onto the Main God Marketplace.
After years of offering free services, it was only reasonable for the marketplace to take a small commission.
Those extraordinary beings, who had grown accustomed to the convenience of instant transactions across space through the Main God Network, would hardly give up using the marketplace. As for ordinary people, though they might initially only consume without contributing, once they purchased potions and transitioned into transcendents, the situation would naturally change.
The rapid expansion of the Main God Network and the Main God Marketplace soon attracted the attention of various deities.
Even the World Government convened a Council of True Gods in response.
"Can anyone explain what's so mysterious about these potions?"
"I can't tell for sure, but I can make an educated guess. Expanding the Main God Network on this scale requires a staggering amount of resources. Based on my research of Rosen, he's not someone who engages in loss-making ventures. These potions must provide some additional benefit—either faith or extraordinary essence."
"Faith seems unlikely. It's far more probable that there's an issue with the extraordinary essence generated by consuming these potions."
"I share that view," another voice chimed in. "I had some potions purchased and analyzed. These potions are flawlessly identical, like perfect copies - they must be from the Miracle Vials. Rosen has undoubtedly collected the complete Primordial Elixir. This set of miracle artifacts likely contains secrets unknown to us."
"So what should we do? Ban these potions or let them be?"
"If this were before, we'd definitely ban them. But in the current situation, letting them spread might not be bad. Universal transcendence means individual fortunes will rise dramatically, the World Government's civilizational fortune will skyrocket, and more transcendents will strengthen their respective sequences."
"Then we should prepare to harvest in adv-"
"Shut up!"
Several quick-witted True Gods roared in anger.
Numerous divine projections of True Gods dissipated as the True God Council abruptly dissolved.
Rosen sat before the Main God Computer, stroking his chin in thought. What exactly was the meaning behind that True God Council? He possessed the Eye of Apocalypse that could even spy on Great True Gods - the World Government's True Gods should have known this.
Using his All-Seeing Eye to gather information confirmed his suspicions. The Great True Gods behind the World Government had already informed their subordinates that he could peek into their secrets at any time.
So was that nearly leaked secret earlier a genuine slip of the tongue or intentional? Rosen's All-Seeing Eye focused on the Knight True God, attempting to penetrate his thoughts.
As divine essence continuously drained, he saw the Knight True God's true thoughts. It hadn't been a slip - the Knight had deliberately guided Rosen to use the All-Seeing Eye on him.
If a shepherd knew wolves would soon come to devour all his sheep, yet lacked the power to stop them and couldn't find buyers for the flock, his only remaining option would be to slaughter the sheep preemptively.
The human nations under the World Government were essentially such a flock. The World Government maintained order and strengthened human civilization because the flock could continuously generate faith and amplify civilizational fortune.
But now the great era was approaching. The growing chaos in the main world had become unstoppable. Battles between True Gods could annihilate empires, while clashes between deities could easily destroy kingdoms.
When full-scale war erupted, the first to perish would be ordinary people. Dead civilians in war could no longer provide faith and fortune - instead generating despair, suffering and resentment that would weaken the World Government's civilizational fortune. Thus their solution was to preemptively exterminate all imperial and royal subjects.
By sacrificing the masses as nourishment for the Eternal Continent, they planned to use some unknown method to elevate it into an independent world like the Dragon Realm.
The Knight True God, as a human deity who upheld knightly virtues, couldn't bear this outcome. Hence the intentional slip, hoping Rosen would learn of this and stop the World Government, saving countless ordinary people about to be discarded like tools.
"Making me out to be some savior?" Rosen stood by the window, gazing outside pensively.
Was the information he'd just seen truly accurate? The Arcane Emperor had deceived the Apocalypse Eye before, but couldn't fool the upgraded All-Seeing Eye. On the surface, these World Government True Gods shouldn't be able to deceive it either.
But in reality, no ability was absolute - where there were spears, there were shields. Who could say the World Government's defenses were necessarily weaker than the Arcane Emperor's? If the Emperor was stronger than the Great True Gods behind the government, why hadn't they surrendered to him?
Therefore everything he'd just seen might be false - the World Government setting a trap for him. Of course, it could also be true - the Knight True God genuinely wanting to save ordinary people.
But that probability seemed low, because Rosen had long stopped believing in human nature. Since gaining the Apocalypse Eye to see hidden truths, his observations of human hearts had never ceased. The more he saw, the more he realized transcendents and ordinary people were no longer the same species - even demigods differed fundamentally from regular transcendents.
Those who failed to reach demigod status remained ants. It was hard to imagine a True God showing mercy to ordinary people. Because with enough repetition, any act became routine. A butcher might pity lambs when first starting out, but would either quit or grow numb over time.
If ordinary butchers behaved thus, how much more so for True Gods who'd witnessed countless lives and deaths? When foreign True Gods attacked, the collateral damage could claim hundreds of millions. If one side in such battles included human True Gods, could they truly claim no responsibility for those deaths?
This could be explained as unavoidable self-defense. But when the World Government rose to power, it launched countless wars of expansion - killing a thousand enemies at the cost of eight hundred allies. Every human-conquered land and island saw innumerable foreign deaths, but equally numerous human casualties.
For those in power, for True Gods, the lives of ordinary people were truly just numbers. This was something Rosen hadn't understood in the past, but after years of experience, he too had grown numb to it.
When suspecting a trap lay ahead, the wisest choice wasn't to step forward to test it.
Because one couldn't know how many layers the trap had - avoiding one might mean falling into another.
The best option was to turn back, putting as much distance between oneself and the trap as possible.
Since the World Government wasn't banning the potions on the Main God Marketplace, his goal had already been achieved. Whatever the World Government did next was none of his concern. He only needed to take care of his Ancient Divine Realm and steadily increase his strength.
Rosen summoned the "King of Coins" from the Fallen Tarot deck and sent it away with a thought.
The True God of Coins, who had been cultivating arduously in his divine realm, noticed the sudden appearance of the King of Coins beside him, his expression darkening. His true form had been confirmed destroyed, and while transforming his divine avatar into a new true form had succeeded, ascending back to True God status wouldn't be easy.
Rosen sending the King of Coins now was clearly a reminder that the King's Game was about to begin.
But even if he regained True God status by then, how could he compete with the other three Kings?
...
In the Mysterious Study Room, Rosen entered the Space Pot and arrived inside the ticket to the Ark of Doom.
The ticket itself was a True God-tier artifact, appearing as a hollow cube.
With a thought, Rosen exited the ticket space and looked at another cube outside the cabin - another ticket containing a mysterious lifeform.
Years ago, it was this very creature that had discovered the windows of the Mysterious Study Room and repeatedly damaged them, ultimately giving Rosen the chance to fully refine the windows and master the Window to the World. This time, besides preparing to take the Ark of Doom, he intended to deal with this mysterious being.
After all these years, the Ark of Doom hadn't changed much.
While miracle artifacts could self-repair, the Ark's restoration speed was painfully slow.
Rosen pressed his hand against the ticket to open the door, then approached the window to peer inside the ticket space through the Window to the World. This time, there was no attack on the window - apparently, the imprisoned being could no longer detect it.
As divine energy enveloped the Window to the World, fused with the Laws of Sacred Light, it began to glow, illuminating the ticket space.
Rosen saw an eyeless, grotesque figure curled up in a corner. Stimulated by the light, the disheveled, mummy-like creature suddenly slammed a palm against the Window to the World, though the hasty strike caused no damage.
The All-Seeing Eye locked onto the creature, but unexpectedly, no information appeared.
How does the All-Seeing Eye's omniscience actually work?
Rosen had researched this extensively. Omniscience was essentially the ultimate version of an appraisal skill.
For appraisal to function, there needed to be either:
A database containing information on all things for reference,
The ability to peek into a lifeform's memories, or
The capacity to analyze an object's composition.
Thus, the inability to glean any information about the creature told him everything.
First, the new world's historical records contained no data on this being - it likely originated from outside this world. Second, the creature possessed means to shield itself from memory probes and physical analysis.
Though specific details couldn't be seen, it was clear the creature had once been a Great True God.
Killing such an instinct-driven being would be feasible, but capturing it alive would be far harder.
Shaking his head, Rosen decided to take the Ark of Doom first.
Since the creature couldn't escape the ticket space, he could always study how to capture it later after securing the Ark.
Rosen's divine perception enveloped the entire Ark of Doom. With 164 points of divine essence, he now had the power to refine a Great True God-tier miracle artifact. Soon, the ownerless, damaged Ark was under his control, easily transported away via data transmission.
However, the moment Rosen and the Ark left the depths of the Spirit Realm, the creature suddenly escaped the ticket space.
Watching the eyeless being flee toward the Ark's exterior, Rosen realized it had never truly been trapped - it had only hidden in the ticket space out of fear of the Spirit Realm's depths. With a thought, he returned the Ark to the abyssal Spirit Realm.
The creature, which had nearly reached the exit, immediately scrambled back into the ticket space, curling up in its corner.
"Seems I can't take it with me for now," Rosen frowned.
Only then did he understand - the Ark's sinking in the Spirit Realm might have been intended to imprison this creature. This seemingly instinct-driven being likely had connections to the Ark's original sinking.
If the All-Seeing Eye couldn't analyze the creature, perhaps it could still access the Ark's recorded data.
By repairing the Ark of Doom, he could review its voyage logs.
