Grandma Bria's grin widened, the lines on her face deepening as she watched Lilith with eyes that gleamed like a snake ready to strike.
Then, with a sudden pause in her theatrics, she raised one hand and snapped her fingers.
The masked man holding the gun stepped forward, grabbing a nearby rope and yanking it tighter—causing the railing Ava was tied to creak dangerously. Nova shouted, "Hey! Don't touch her!" struggling wildly, but the gun quickly aimed his way, silencing him.
Lilith's expression didn't change. Her arms stayed relaxed at her sides. But her cold gaze turned sharper, unreadable.
That's when Bria let out a fake sigh, pretending to pout. "Oh dear, don't look so tense. I'm not here to kill them right away," she said sweetly. "I just want to… play with you."
She slowly stepped toward Lilith, her fur coat dragging slightly along the dock floor. "Let's make this fun, shall we?"
