Lilith rolled her eyes hard enough it could've cracked the ceiling.
Because even after everything settled, her human doll was still staring at her..unblinking, like he was seeing her for the first time.
She scoffed, crossing her arms. "Can you stop being dramatic?" she muttered. "I just liked proving that hyena wrong. That doesn't mean you get to stare at me like I saved the universe."
He didn't reply. His smirk deepened.
"I don't like how she enters your company like it's her grandfather's farmland," Lilith added with a frown, clearly annoyed.
His eyes twinkled.
"Are you… jealous?" he asked slowly, voice dipping low as he stepped closer and gently pulled her to him, his fingers brushing the strands of hair falling near her face. He tucked them behind her ear so delicately it sent shivers down her spine.
Lilith narrowed her eyes dangerously.
"Me? Jealous?" she scoffed again, but didn't move back.
Instead, she did the exact opposite.
