With Hook and her father's report, Pela arrived with the Silvermane Guards.
Seeing Pei Guang's group, Pela spoke excitedly, "As expected of the Trailblazers, you actually found some of the stolen relics this quickly."
Pei Guang shook his head. "No, no, this time, it had nothing to do with us. The credit goes to that father and daughter. Give them the reward instead."
Then, he briefly explained what had happened.
"Huh?" Pela was momentarily stunned. She knew that Pei Guang was always quite serious about missions and rewards, yet this time, he was acting completely differently from what she expected.
Seeing Pela's confused expression, Stelle smirked. "Heh~ I know what you're thinking. But let me tell you, my Ah Guang isn't as shallow as you might think. My Ah Guang actually has some depth to him."
March 7th turned to Stelle. "Wait a minute, when did he become yours?"
Stelle turned to March 7th. "Then… ours?"
March 7th hesitated. "Something about that still sounds weird…"
Pei Guang interrupted them before the conversation got out of hand. "Can you two stop messing around? And also, was that a compliment or an insult? 'Has some depth'? What, you think I'm usually an idiot?"
Stelle crossed her arms. "Of course it's a compliment. You know me—I don't usually compliment people."
March 7th looked at Stelle. "Well, you don't usually talk when Ah Guang's not around either. If you don't talk, how are you gonna compliment anyone?"
Though the three of them always stuck together, there were times when they split up after finishing a world's exploration. During those times, without Pei Guang around, Stelle barely spoke at all—choosing silence over unnecessary conversation.
The funny thing was, Stelle herself hadn't even realized this.
Watching the three of them bicker, Pela smiled. "Alright, I understand. I'll make sure that father and daughter receive the proper reward."
Pei Guang nodded. "That's good enough. Also, take these guys away too. They were working with Sampo, but honestly, they're even worse. Not only did they steal artifacts, but they also bullied an old man and a child? As a player, I can't stand people like that."
Pela responded seriously, "Understood. I'll make sure they're dealt with properly. But… why are their faces so swollen?"
Pei Guang shrugged. "Oh, maybe the food in the Underworld has gotten too good. They just gained some weight."
Pela: "I see…"
A nearby Silvermane Guard chimed in, "The Trailblazer's right!"
Another guard agreed, "Yeah, they must've just put on weight. Take them away. We're out there risking our lives on the frontlines, and these guys are stealing artifacts and bullying people? Take them all!"
Pela didn't even bother arguing anymore. She had enough experience to know that these guys weren't just getting fat—clearly, they had been beaten up. But after thinking it over, she realized she didn't really care.
As an official, there were things she wasn't allowed to do. But seeing someone else punish thieves and bullies? As long as they weren't left permanently injured, she could turn a blind eye. And since it was Pei Guang and his group who did it? She decided to completely ignore it.
The Trailblazers had saved Belobog. Now, they were just making sure justice was served. What was there to complain about? If she wasn't on duty, she'd probably be clapping right now.
Pela cleared her throat and gave the order. "Alright, take them all away. Theft, intimidation, and assaulting the weak—we have all the evidence we need. Arrest them."
The Silvermane Guards took the criminals away, while Pela moved to inspect the crates containing the recovered relics. Opening them, her face lit up with delight.
"I didn't expect both the Meteor Fragment and this to be here. This is wonderful! With the Meteor Fragment back, the museum can finally reopen."
After sorting and packaging the recovered artifacts to be transported by the guards, Pela turned to Pei Guang and the others. "Now that the museum can operate normally, let's head back and return this exhibit to its rightful place."
Pela and the group returned to the museum, where they carefully placed the Meteor Fragment back in its display case. Standing in front of it, Pela gazed at the stone with a dreamy expression.
"The Meteor Fragment… It's truly beautiful…"
Pei Guang, Stelle, and March 7th also gathered around to examine the relic, but their reactions were slightly different.
Stelle bluntly remarked, "It just looks like a regular rock."
Pei Guang nodded. "You're right. As far as rocks go, it does seem pretty ordinary. But as a historical artifact or a symbol, it's much more than that."
March 7th agreed. "Exactly! It's like how Ah Guang only takes a single candy as a reward for some quests. The candy itself isn't worth much, but the meaning behind it is something money can't measure."
Stelle nodded thoughtfully. "I see~ I get it now."
Pela smiled. "That's right. The value of these artifacts isn't something that can be measured in money. Thanks to you all, we've recovered enough exhibits to reopen the General Hall. Speaking of which, our previous manager recently resigned. Would any of you be interested in taking on the position?"
Pei Guang immediately perked up. "Sounds great! Running the museum means we get to play as its director, right? First, we manage a food stall in the Luofu, and now we're running a museum. These side activities are getting pretty interesting."
Stelle nodded. "No kidding. But… there's only one director position, right? Which one of us should take it?"
March 7th quickly shook her head. "Don't look at me. Exploring the museum is fun and all, but I'm no good at managing it."
Pei Guang turned to Stelle. "Well, since March isn't interested, that means it's down to you and me."
Stelle smirked. "Then I'll do it?"
Pei Guang shrugged. "If you want the job, it's all yours."
Grinning confidently, Stelle declared, "Alright then! I'll take over as manager and run this museum flawlessly—maybe even swindle and scam a little for a hefty profit."
"?"
Pela's eyes widened in shock, while Pei Guang simply waved his hand dismissively. "Relax. She's just thinking out loud. That doesn't mean she's actually going to do it. Though… where did she even pick up this kind of thinking?"
March 7th crossed her arms and gave Pei Guang a pointed look. "Are you seriously asking that? Of course, she learned it from you."
Stelle nodded in agreement. "That's right! I picked it up from Ah Guang. But, on a serious note, will this manager job actually be fun?"
Pela assured her, "I can guarantee that it will be very interesting."
Stelle considered it for a moment. "And the pay?"
Pela smiled. "I promise it will be worth your while."
"Alright then! I'm in!" Stelle agreed enthusiastically.
