When Shi Lan awoke, the bed beside her was cool, clearly indicating that Uncle Yan had not returned last night.
Shi Lan lay back down, intending to catch a bit more sleep, but the noise from downstairs startled her awake.
Descending the stairs, Shi Lan saw a housekeeper in her early forties feeding two cats, while the Ferrari remained its same aloof and untamed self, licking its paw, indifferent to everyone.
Upon hearing footsteps, the housekeeper looked back and saw Shi Lan, hurriedly saying, "I'm sorry, Miss An, Mr. Yan had instructed us not to disturb you, but the cats…"
"It's fine, I'm about to head out," Shi Lan replied.
"Will you be back for lunch?"
"Yes."
It was only nine in the morning; even a visit to the detention center to see that brother wouldn't take up much time.
"By the way, the other cat still doesn't have a name," the housekeeper reminded her.
Shi Lan thought for a moment and responded to the housekeeper, "Let's call it Maybach."
