Deidara was sure that his last attack got Shika, it would have been really hard for anyone to dodge. He was right, though Shika was alright but he only came out unharmed becuase of his Rinnegan ability.
"That was really dangerous you know…" Just as Deidara was about to perform a victory explosion to tell the universe about the true art, this sound he heard made his blood run cold.
He almost robotically turned back, only for his eyes to go wide when he saw Shika.
"You… how, how is this possible ?" He shouted pointing at Shika like he saw a host.
"Who knows, maybe you never came out of my Genjutsu," Shika shrugged like he didn't get it either but there was a visible smirk on his face which infuriated Deidara.
He could swear that he had removed the Genjutsu that was on him, there was no way that he fall for another Genjutsu that quickly. The other person wasn't even a Uchiha for that matter, he was a mere Kiri Shinobi.
"You… why won't you just DIE…" Deidara genuinely looked angry now and ordered his clay dragon to attack Shika again.
Once again the clay dragon consumed his own self, turning his tail into a missile bomb and throwing it at Shika.
This time Shika wasn't planning on just dodging, he too formed a hand sign, since Deidara was thinking of him as a Kiri Shinobi he wouldn't mind capitalising on this one misleading thought of his.
'Water Style, Water Bullet.' Shika quickly formed hand signs and the next second he spat out a big water bullet from his mouth which was strong enough to cover the distance and hit the upcoming bomb at him, blasting it midway.
Before that dragon threw another big bomb he kept on forming hand signs and the next second mist started to form around him.
'Hidden Mist Justu.' Shika grinned and disappeared into the mist.
Deidara's vision got limited and thus he couldn't just mindlessly attack Shika with his bombs from a long distance.
He had no idea where Shika was right now. But it wasn't like that he was completely out of options.
'If that Kiri Shinobi thinks that he can hide with this mist then I will show him…' Deidara muttered to himself and in the next second multiple small bombs came out of him, all getting scattered away, commanded to be exploded the moment they come in contact with anything.
But to his confusion no sound came, it was like they all vanished. He hurriedly checked what happened, since they were connected with his chakra he could at least check on their status, and to his confusion they all were just standing a little away from him, not moving at all. Just enough distance that he can't see them with his eyes.
But if that wasn't enough, he then noticed that all those bombs of his disappeared, not even one blasted, he lost connection with them and all disappeared.
"What's going on ?"
'Shadow Possession Complete…' Shika from his place grinned a wicked smile. And then he sucks them all into his shadow space.
'I could use these bombs against him but I believe he can control their explosion so it will be a complete waste of good explosive bombs which I could use later on. So, let's do this.' After thinking then claps his hands together for his most price technique.
'Convergence…'
Before even Deidara could notice, a piercing jet of water came toward him, not only severing one of his hands but also cutting the tail of his dragon.
"What's…" Deidara exclaimed but something strange happened, his entire body turned into clay and disappeared.
Shika too couldn't see what was going on but he could hear well, and with his instinct, he could tell that the attack hit Deidara but didn't kill him.
The next second though he felt a high wind pressure and faced slight difficulty maintaining his mist.
This pressure came from the clay dragon, turn out that Deidara wasn't standing out in the open, the moment he saw mist covering the area, he hid inside his dragon to scheme Shika to attack the clone.
At first, he was planning on a sneak attack on Shika but later when his Clone was so easily cut and even his dragon's tail was cut open he knew that staying in this mist was deadly. Shika could be anywhere and that one attack on him was fatal.
So he rides his dragon to fly away, out of the mist-covered area.
"Enough of hiding, now eat this…" he shouted and the next second the entire area was blasted with a big explosion.
He exploded the cut-off tail of the Dragon to explode the entire mist section area, with the hope of taking out Shika with it.
"Did that do it ?" He waited for the dust to die down but he didn't have to wait for that long. Soon he saw an object flying out from the blasted area, this was a bird. A bird with a human-like face.
Shika knew that Deidara had escaped by flying out of the mist, others didn't realise but he could locate them anywhere inside the mist.
So, he decided to summon Nue and follow him to the skies, continuing the fight up there.
Nue was much faster than the Dragon Deidara was using, within seconds he closed the gap and came near Deidara.
Deidara seeing that the enemy had a flying summon just clicked his tongue and started moulding his clay for another one of his explosions.
Soon multiple birds made out of exploding clay were formed and rushed at Shika. Deidara was planning on completely surrounding Shika from all sides to kill him, not letting him any place to run away.
But Shika didn't show any concern, he formed hand signs and decided to try some new skills he picked up while he was training.
"Chidori Steam…" This one time he decided to say the name just to himself slowly, after all this was the first time he was using this technique in a real fight.
Yes, he learned Chidori with Chaka. Just becuase he lost Nue's lightning doesn't mean that he will let go of all the hard work he had done with his Lightning style training for all that time.
To use Chidori he had to learn Lightning style nature chakra transformation from Sasuke. Was hard but he had time to pull it off. With Sharingan, it wasn't that hard either.
A stream of lightning was blasted at those coming birds and all were zapped to the point they all fell down. Since Deidara's exploding clay was an earth-style jutsu, any lightning-style justu was a good counter to it. This was the main reason why Sasuke had such a big advantage against Deidara in their fight in Cannon.
"What…" However seeing this Deidara was completely taken aback, he wasn't expecting a lightning-style attack from the enemy at all. Still, now he thought he was a Kiri Shinobi.
And though a Mist shinobi can learn other elemental chakra transformation but it is rare. Not only in Mist but in other Villages as well.
"You were hiding your capabilities. Wasn't you." he wanted to shout but had no idea since Shika now was almost near him.
Lightning crackling on his hand like thousands of birds chirping. This was Chidori but with Chakra this time.
Deidara immediately reacted, for the first time using a Shinobi-like skill and not explosion to dodge the upcoming attack.
He quickly erects an earth wall. The impressive feat was that he did that on top of the dragon.
He in fact ejected the entire rock formation from his mouth which was pretty impressive.
Shika's Chidori hit the wall and the wall collapsed but since then Deidra was gone from there. He was free falling and later his dragon came to save him.
However, Shika was faster, before even his dragon stopped his descent after picking him up, both saw a shadow rushing at them.
Their mouth was wide agape when she saw a pink elephant falling on top of them.
"Fuck…" This time Deidara didn't have much time, he was crushed under a giant pink elephant including his dragon.
"Ha, I never thought I'd be using Max Elephant like this anytime, seems like Megumi wasn't just playing around when he threw this guy on top of others." Shika can't help but feel amazed himself. He thought that a move like this would never work since Ninja are supposed to be agile and can dodge this attack.
Guess he was wrong.
"However, just as he was wondering what was the outcome of this attack, something even more strange happened.
A giant pillar of clay rose up, picking up Max Elephant and soon started to morph into a giant version of Deidara himself.
Shika's mind buzzed, he remembered this attack of Deidara. If he wasn't wrong then this attack gonna release that miniature atomic bomb.
"Gotta get out of here…" That was the only thing on his mind right now. But that was when he saw Max Elephant being captured by the giant Deidara.
"Shit…
