I still remember how we faced Paula's mother and the last second of our victory when that woman disappeared, leaving me unable to remember the next thing that happened. One minute, I would feel so alive as an Ioris, and the next, it was as if I had fallen into a long, long sleep that it was hard to tell the time, and I might have even forgotten it.
I was pensive on the balcony today, watching the sunlight sink. Alpha Chris became a frequent visitor, and there were times when I felt like I wasn't myself for craving him so much.
