Yu the Great cast the Nine Tripod Cauldrons, which are respectively the Jizhou Cauldron, the Yanzhou Cauldron, the Qingzhou Cauldron, the Xuzhou Cauldron, the Yangzhou Cauldron, the Jingzhou Cauldron, the Yuzhou Cauldron, the Liangzhou Cauldron, the Yongzhou Cauldron. Engraved upon each cauldron were the mountains, rivers and rare creatures of their respective provinces. The Nine Tripods symbolized the Nine Provinces, with the Yuzhou Cauldron as the central great tripod, marking Yuzhou as the central hub. Beneath the mountain base of Spiritual Mount, there were three great cauldrons: the Jizhou Cauldron, the Yanzhou Cauldron, and the Yuzhou Cauldron. The Yuzhou Cauldron was at the lowest level, with the Jizhou Cauldron at the top, which was the very one in front of Sun Wukong.
