Even though Alexander was with Rain most of the time, it didn't stop him from giving instructions and closely monitoring the situation.
He trusted William to handle things well, but knowing how cunning Carla was, he preferred to have a backup plan. She had already pulled too many stunts to escape the consequences of her actions, and he wasn't about to let his guard down now.
"I'm sorry about this, Clifford. I know you're busy with your honeymoon, but I couldn't think of anyone better for the job," Alexander said apologetically over the phone.
"It's fine. I would've stepped in even if you hadn't called," Clifford replied without hesitation. "Anyone trying to harm Rain and her family is my enemy too. Thanks for keeping me updated. Don't worry, I'll intercept everything on my end and get back to you as soon as I have something."
The two men discussed the situation further before Alexander finally ended the call.
