Brandon left the office early, well not early, but on time. On time in the corporate world meant the time they were actually supposed to leave, but since they always left later, that became the norm.
Now he left exactly at 5:15, because he had to meet with the broker of the apartments. Again, it was not much of a fruitful visit because the four new apartments he visited were one, out of his budget or two moldy and three, what too far away from his office to commute on a daily basis.
While he may have had work from home when he was injured, it was not going to happen every second day. So Brandon had to choose an apartment which was within his budget, was safe to reside in and was within a suitable distance from the office that he could travel back-and-forth from.
He sighed before grabbing the cab, Home. Another fruitless search, another payment to the broker for at least showing up with something. Why did he have to pay people what they offered was not even enough for him?
