"I'm pregnant," she said, her eyes filled with joy as Nora rushed over to help her back to bed.
"Yes, your Highness, you must take extra care to avoid any potential dangers," Nora advised, her voice filled with concern.
Amira simply smiled in response, feeling a mix of happiness and apprehension about her pregnancy.
Meanwhile, in the eastern region, inside a tent, Zyran was deeply engrossed in strategizing with his men; suddenly, a guard burst into the tent, interrupting him.
"Your Highness, we have caught some suspects attempting to cross the borders," the guard informed urgently.
Zyran immediately sprang into action, following the guard as they hurried to the location where the suspects were being held captive.
Zyran met Uriah at the scene already torturing the suspect.
"Speak!!"
Uriah's voice boomed which made the two men shake in fear.
"We are not telling you anything," one of them said; he was beaten black and blue, and so was his partner.
"Alright then, I guess you have no use to us," Uriah said. He raised his sword to behead them.
"Stop," Zyran said, walking forward.
"Why?"
"Do I need to tell you, take them away?" Zyran said, motioning his men to take the hostages away.
"This is not how things are done here," Uriah said, snaring as Zyran was challenging his authority in camp.
"I guess some changes need to be done,"
"I have been managing them quite well. What other rules are you planning?
"You have? Then why's this war dragging longer than necessary"
"We can't apprehend the enemy in one night," Uriah said.
"If only you put your brain while strategizing then we will be over with this"
"Your Highness, I understand that His Majesty had dispatched you here, but remember, I still control our men, and they are used to me being the boss around here; changing some things might lead to disruption in the camp," Uriah said.
"Worry not about it," Zyran told him.
"Call everyone in position" Zyran shouted orders
They sprang into action immediately.
He gathered the front-line warriors inside his tent and discussed their strategies.
"We will take them from both sides. It will leave them at a disadvantage, and they won't be able to run," Zyran explains.
"Won't that make us disorganized? We won't be able to give orders to retreat when things go wrong," Zain a lieutenant, said.
"Yes, Your Highness, we can't be focused on the other batch if things go wrong. Malek, another lieutenant, said.
"Uriah will take care of our second batch," Zyran said, pointing at the structure on the table.
Uriah frowns at the prince's random declaration, but he says nothing to defile the order.
He dismissed everyone after the planning.
Aaron stood with Ali as he watched everyone leave.
"Your Highness, would your plan work?" Ali asked.
"There's a spy amongst us, and we need to fish the person out, or this war will drag on, and we will all be wiped out.
Night came and Zyran was staring at the last message Amira had sent from home, he had a smile on his lips as he read through the lines.
"Don't worry wifey I won't return to you soon." He mutters.
A guard rushes in and bows in the process of delivering a message.
"Our men are gathered. We are ready to raid their camp.
Zyran stepped out of his tent as 30 thousand of his men were gathered together, ready to infiltrate the camp of the enemies.
"ARE YOU READY??"
His voice thundered through the night and they replied in the same manner.
"YES"
"ARE YOU READY TO RETURN TO YOUR MOTHER CHILDREN AND WIFE"
"YES"
"ARE YOU READY TO PROTECT THEM"
"YES" came their thunderous reply.
He leads them away. That night they raided the enemy camp killing almost all of them and leaving brutal-damages.
They set the camp on fire, and she'd the blood of their enemies while releasing some hostages they had kept.
The East Kingdom prince was able to escape but he sustained a fatal injury and was wheeled away by his men.
Arrived back to camp by evening with the shout of victory; although the war wasn't over as they had not annihilated all the armies, they had caused enough damage to the eastern Armies.
Uriah stormed out of his tent, his face twisted with fury as he strode towards Zyran, who had just dismounted his horse.
"Zyran, what in the world possessed you to alter the entire strategy plan at the eleventh hour?" Uriah's voice was laced with anger.
Zyran's eyebrow arched as Uriah abandoned formalities and addressed him by name.
"What are you playing at?" Zyran retorted.
"Why was I not made aware of your intentions to launch a surprise attack on the enemy camp?"
"And where were you when the plan was being altered? Why were you not present in camp?" Zyran demanded, his gaze narrowing on Uriah.
"I was out scouting the area. You can verify with the guards," Uriah quickly explained.
"Were you?"
Zyran's piercing gaze fell upon the man as he spoke, his eyes narrowing as he tried to gauge the truth in the man's words.
"Yes, Your Highness, he indeed was, Scouti_," the guard began, but Zyran swiftly raised his hand to silence him, a look of suspicion clouding his expression.
"We have a spy among us, leaking our information to the eastern kingdom," Zyran declared, his voice firm as murmurs began to ripple through the crowd.
Locking eyes with Uriah, Zyran studied him intently, searching for any sign of guilt or innocence in his defiant glare.
"What are you implying?" Uriah demanded his expression a mix of defiance and confusion.
Without a word, Zyran drew his sword and pointed it directly at Uriah, the tension in the air palpable as their gazes locked in a silent battle of wills.
"Your Highness" Uriah called in a warning tone.
Zyran said nothing and slashed. Everyone gasped as they expected Uriah to be killed on the spot, but it wasn't so.
Uriah's right-hand man Romero was slit in the chest; blood began gushing out of his opened wound as the lad fell back.
Uriah's eyes widen as he turns to see his man fall to his death.
"Don't tell me he's the spy whom you suspect" Uriah asks Zyran in an unfazed tone"
"He's, but I hope this passes as a warning to everyone, choose your side wisely; falling prey to my sword will be the end of whoever dares to betray.
Zyran warned.
Uriah swallowed. He watched as Zyran walked away, he turned to look at his fallen man who was killed as a warning to him.
"That bastard" Uriah muttered, his hand tightening on his sword.
Danielle stood on the ornate balcony of the palace, her maid by her side. They gazed pensively into the night, the moon casting a soft glow over the sprawling gardens below.
Suddenly, a pigeon gracefully glided overhead, catching Danielle's attention. With remarkable agility, she deftly caught the bird and retrieved a small piece of paper attached to its feet.
Releasing the pigeon, she unfolded the note and a smile slowly spread across her face as she read the message.
"Get it done with."
Satisfied, Danielle turned away from the balcony and made her way through the opulent corridor.
