Nat felt her chest tightened but she ignored it. She wanted to ask why she was here then? He could have found much experienced housekeepers who would not burn his house and keep it perfect. Not that there was anything to clean or do.
She opened her mouth but did not ask the question. She was afraid of the answer or afraid that she would know it was true.
She looked away and stood up.
"I should go clean the kitchen. You can order. And cut it from my salary." she nodded with a solemn face before leaving the room.
Max sighed. He looked at the room that belonged to him last night. "We need to go shopping."
Nat watched at the door. Her mind is uneasy. She had thought Max would follow her but he was still in her room. She shook her head. This house belongs to him and so does that room.
