"My brother lives there." she pointed at the bought house and then looked at them meekly. "Why are you asking? Are you the police?" the man looked back at his men and then at the house she had pointed at.
"If you are there to meet someone, just go there. Why are you snooping around like a rat." his voice was full of snickers as he looked at her with a scornful gaze. Emma frowned.
"What do you mean? And who are you?"
"We are working here. Now leave." his threatening gaze matched criminals. Emma bit her lips and walked away. If not, she would raise their suspicion since a young girl could not bear their cold look.
The door was opened already when she reached closer. The man guided her to the last room of the second floor. Its window opens to their balcony. The door was opened and one could see inside the room but it was empty and the view was constricted.
She took the binoculars from him and peeked in. The place was oddly silent as if no one was living there.
