Following the bold steps of this courageous man, David arrived at the hall, where Governor Derick also immediately stood up, approached with a welcoming smile, and extended his right hand, saying, "Chief Inspector David, welcome to your arrival."
"Really welcome?"
Watching David's seemingly mocking demeanor, a hint of displeasure flashed through Derick's eyes, but it was quickly concealed as he asked, "Chief Inspector David, I'll skip the small talk. What brings you to the Governor's Mansion this time?"
"Nothing much, I heard that the Governor has had some friends over recently to catch up, but these friends have had some issues detected by our Internal Revenue Service, so I just wanted to have a chat with them."
"Are you talking about Benson, Conrad, and Pezela? They did indeed come to visit to reminisce, and they are good friends of mine. I can vouch for their character and guarantee that they would never engage in tax evasion. Please rest assured, Chief Inspector David!"
