There were only about thirty people guarding the old marketplace. As I surveyed the area, I noted that the people of the past weren't exactly adept at controlling their aura. Out of all the guards present, one individual stood out—Jackson. He was the only person I had found difficult to defeat.
I've already clashed with him a couple of times when I was still the only one here. He was a slippery bastard; every time I thought I had him cornered, he would do underhanded tricks and slip away. I had eventually ignored him, but with Edge here, I felt confident that he could take Jackson down.
"The subordinate leader, Jackson, should be inside. I'll handle the small fries outside while you deal with him. I'll support you from the back," I instructed, trying to keep my voice low.
Edge, however, seemed uninterested in my plan. "I don't need your support," he replied casually, pulling out his Dragon Crescent Blade Spear. He spun it needlessly in the air, sending dirt and dust flying.
