Ai Lin's grip was incredibly strong, like iron chains, and Ning Xia couldn't break free, forcibly dragged away from the master bedroom door, down the stairs, and all the way to the living room before Ai Lin finally let go of her hand.
She walked to the switch and with a snap, the lights blazed on, exposing Ning Xia's face under the bright light.
Ai Lin squinted her eyes. With her arms crossed around her chest and a smile that was not quite a smile playing on her lips, she said, "I knew it was you."
Since she was already exposed, Ning Xia stood up straight with pride and met Ai Lin's gaze directly, "Yes, it's me."
"What are you here for?" Ai Lin's gaze was unfriendly, lacking her usual languid demeanor from when she was with Chicheng, "Don't tell me, you haven't given up yet, chasing from Chicheng to The Imperial Capital and even sneaking in here."
