James' POV
But then, I opened my eyes, only to see that I was floating in space, and in front of me, a figure in the form of a woman dressed in a beautiful kimono was looking at me.
"Greetings, James," she said to me with a positive smile.
"What? Who are you?" I asked her back.
"I am the goddess of reincarnation," the figure replied back, "and I hereby inform you that you died in a bus accident at 10:22 a.m."
Upon hearing that, I was shocked to my heart. "No…it can't be! This is gonna be a joke, right?"
The goddess shook her head. "No, you're literally dead."
Because of it, I sighed in defeat, knowing that all of this had happened in just a short period of time. "Okay, are you going to reincarnate me to another world?"
"Yes, so you could live a full, long, and fulfilling life."
But then, suddenly, I got an idea: I wanted to be reincarnated into an anime multiverse of my favorite anime shows so I could experience life with my favorite characters.
So, with that in mind, I verbalized that request and wish to her.
"A multiverse?" the goddess raised her eyebrow. "Why?"
"So, I could experience life with my favorite characters," I replied back confidently, "and maybe, I could be their journalist, too, traveling from one world to another."
"I see. Okay, what anime shows to be exact?"
She then summoned a piece of paper and a fountain pen for me. "Write their titles here."
I did so and wrote down the titles of my favorite anime shows.
It was long since I had a long list of it back in my previous life.
After that, I gave the paper to her. She then grabbed it and read it, and she was stunned at my huge list. "Impressive. You have quite a list of it." I smiled. "Yup."
"Okay, are you sure about that? I'll be giving you a new body of a 16-year-old, more like a standard age for an anime high schooler, and a new identity."
"I'm sure."
"And, I'll give you two abilities that will be useful in your new life."
"Wow, sweet! What world I will call home, or at least, my home world?"
"You'll see. I hereby grant your wish."
She then shrouded me in light as I disappeared from her presence and towards my new life.
"Good luck out there." she bid farewell. "I'll be watching you."
And so, my new life had just begun. I'm so excited to live such a fulfilling life.
