I close the lounge door behind me, my heart still pounding from the sight of Rebecca, half-delirious. She's in Lawrence's care now, which is the safest place she could be. If Caroline thinks Chris is drugged, we can use that assumption to trap her—and we have to move before she figures out something's off.
Hurrying down the corridor, I find Chris speaking in a low voice with one of Lawrence's security guards. Relief flickers across his face when he sees me, but his tension remains.
"Rebecca?" he asks, voice hushed.
"She's stable with Lawrence. He's got an on-site medic, so she's being treated," I say quickly. "We have to finish this. Caroline might slip away." Chris nods, determination tightening his jaw.
"Right. She believes I'm the one who drank that spiked champagne. We'll use Mark as the decoy on the couch, and I'll record from the sidelines."
