Chapter 784 - Ritual Magic

Circle, the foundation of all rituals, represented containment, protection, and the unity of mana.

Triangle, the stabilizer of power, was used in summoning and binding rituals. Inverted triangles signified the descent of magical forces.

The square symbolized order and permanence; it was also used in creating protective barriers.

Pentagram, the five-pointed star, governed balance over the five fundamental elements that made up the world.

These were just the four basic geometric forms in ritual magic. There were countless more, each more difficult to incorporate than the previous.

The arrangement of these shapes within ritual circles influenced effects. Interlocking patterns, for example, nested circles and layered triangles, created compund effects, while fractrals and spirals attuned rituals to to the primal forces of nature.

Ritual magic relied on precise geometry, runes, and astrological alignments to channel mana for powerful, large-scale effects.
