Suddenly, Jiho felt a sharp pain in her head, as if being pressed by a strong force. As time went by, the force grew. Her eyes fluttered slightly and then shot open.
thump, thump.
"Haa... Haa," Jiho's body lurched forward abruptly, her eyes widening with pupils contracting while her heart beat hastened.
Jiho's forehead was already wet with sweat as she calmed down slightly, only to witness the darkness in front of her.
'Sigh.'
Her eyes were calm as she raised her left hand and slowly wiped her head with her bare hand, turning downwards.
Jiho touched her wound on her right hand. As she did, she felt something cloth-like wrapped around it.
"At least it seems better," Jiho mused, feeling relieved that the physical pain was at least somewhat alleviated.
Slowly, she placed her palm on the dark surface to lift herself up, but a surprised expression formed on her face as she felt a hard surface instead of her bed. Her eyes flashed with a mix of anger and frustration.
