Chapter Eight
She was clearly trying to send him away, and he was not deaf to her intention.
Ryan Gregory had to temporarily put aside what he was doing, but he didn't obediently leave as she had hoped.
Instead, he suddenly leaned in and kissed her on the face.
With a particularly loud smack, Sofia Hamilton was caught off guard.
Her face flushed red immediately, and she quickly pushed Ryan Gregory away, "What are you doing?"
"Kissing you," he replied.
His response was blatantly shameless, as if he had done something very honorable, with a mischievous smile on his lips.
In the face of such brazenness, she was really no match for him.
Sofia Hamilton found herself at a loss for words, only able to stare at him, "Can you be serious for once?"
"I can be serious with anyone else, I just can't with you," he said with a laugh, yet there was sincerity in his tone.
What was intended as a playful remark turned out to have a touch of deep affection when he said it.
