AN: So I finally decided that I am NOT going to make Ramiris a part of Veldora's harem. Instead, I'll just write another fanfic with Ramiris as the main waifu for my next Tensura fic if I ever get around to writing another one. It doesn't make sense for Veldora and Ramiris to get into a romantic relationship together now that Veldora is so hard-locked into his relationship with Luminous. If I wanted to have it be a three-way, then I'd have to rewrite a lot of this story so far, and with my recent upload schedule, I'm sure you guys wouldn't want to wait another six months for that, right?
.~.~.~.
'*Are you sure it's ok for me to just show up at the Holy Mountain?*' I asked Luminous as we talked through long-range magic.
She waved her hands dismissively. '*It's fine, don't worry too much about it.*'
I shrugged my shoulders in my dragon form as I passed high above another Nation. It was her decision. I just didn't want to be in the dog house for something else now that she'd finally forgiven me fully and even invited me over to her place. Apparently, rather than our date to Ramiris' Labyrinth, she was cooking up a private dinner for the two of us. She even said she needed to confide in me about something, and the way she said it made me know that it was important.
So there I was, soaring in the air and rapidly coming across the border with Ruberios and closing in on its capital city of Lune when.
*Kaboom!!!*
I was instantly knocked out of the sky by a massive ray of Holy energy coming directly from the Holy Mountain, sending me spiraling out of the sky and crashing into a large field at the base of the Mountain, but on the outskirts of the city.
I wasn't hurt by whatever it was that attacked me, but the fact that ANY attack could knock me down was astounding.
I got up, shaking the dust and dirt off my scales with a few quick shakes, and that's when I noticed the large group of Holy Knights surrounding my position.
'*Darling, did you set a trap for me?*' I asked, my voice calm but annoyed.
I could feel genuine confusion from Luminous for a brief moment before... '*Shit! Don't kill them, Veldora!*' And she cut the call, clearly not having expected me to be attacked.
I peered over the various Holy Knights, all of whom were chanting in unison some sort of spell, which I decided I would be tanking. I was the Storm Dragon Veldora! And I shied away from no challenge.
"""Holy Field!""" The Magicians all chanted at once, creating a large barrier that surrounded me. I could tell that this was some kind of ability to suppress monsters, given how the few Magicules that were in the air were being rapidly purified, although, for a being of MY level, this was trivial at best.
"Hmmp! You humans got me good by knocking me out of the sky, despite me not paying attention; however, if a {Holy Field} is the best you can do, then you are playing a dangerous game against the wrong opponent!" I declared as I straightened tall and unfurled my wings, using a bit of my Aura and Storm Magic to create a powerful shockwave that knocked some of the lesser Knights off their feet.
To their credit, though, the ones maintaining the field, although they all stumbled at least a little bit, they didn't break and so the Field continued its work.
I smirked. These guys were not small fries. Rimuru would probably struggle with this field, but to me it was like toying with ants. As I stared down the group of Paladins, the members all began to part as ten people made their way to the battlefield while the others retreated, though the Holy Field remained even as the lesser Knights pulled away.
At the head of the ten was an absolutely stunning woman of east asian descent with dark hair and violet eyes. She looked at me coldly, though despite her seemingly calm demeanor, I could tell she was nervous from the sweat beats on her forehead.
"You seem to be taking being in this field well, Storm Dragon!" She stated.
I smirked. "The pressure feels nice. Like a massage for my scales." I stated a lie, of course. At this level, I couldn't even feel the magic or technique. Their Holy Magic, despite using Spiritrons, was not at the Ultimate Level, and thus, the passive buffs of holding an Ultimate Skill made me immune.
I narrowed my eyes as I moved my head in closer, allowing my hot breath to spill out of my nose with a nort. "What's you're name, and are you prepared for what comes next?" I asked.
The woman nodded before pulling out a small rapier with a rainbow hue and getting into a stance. "I am Hinata Sakaguchi, and I am here to take you down."
I nodded. "I see, Hinata huh?... Yup, I prefer the one from Naruto." I muttered to myself as I backed up and got into my combat stance. "Come, those who seek death!" I declared, but none of the 10 moved; rather, they began to look at each other, and some of them nodded.
"I'm not supposed to kill all of you, but a good beating will show you plenty of humility," I stated.
Hinata didn't say anything further, simply activating her magical armor and elevating her flesh from an Enlightened into that of a Saint. A moment later, so did the others, although their costumes were of seemingly inferior quality.
Hinata then dashed forward, planning to strike me with her rapier. I scoffed and swung my tail to knock her away, but was surprised when it was caught by a burly, tough-looking guy with much effort on his part. I hadn't even put any force into it, but it was still impressive, since it probably weighed as much as a train moving at full speed.
I was momentarily stunned. "Hoo? Impressive, to withstand my attack head-on!" I praised, reeling back my tail, only to notice the burly man standing in the same position he was when he received my attack. I watched for another moment as his unconscious form proceeded to topple over, clearly having been knocked out by the blow.
... "Seriously?" I asked no one in particular.
"Grigori!" One of them shouted in a panic.
"{|Melt Slash!|}!" Hinata shouted as she jumped into the air and plunged her sword towards my snout.
I smirked. "I got this one from Pokémon! {|Storm Dragon Claw|}!" I shouted, coating my claw in storm magic and slashing at Hinata's attack, matching it with equal force. I didn't want the fun to be over too quickly.
"NOW!" Hinata shouted as our clash repelled my claw and sent her flying.
"Eat this!" The woman with some sort of pistol yelled as I spotted another one of them, with a light spirit nearby, casting some sort of buff on her before she pulled the trigger.
If I wasn't paying attention, I probably would have wondered where she was aiming since she wasn't pointing it at me, but my [Universal Detect] warned me of a spatial distortion occurring in my blind spot as a bullet came out of it, headed for my eye.
I simply closed my eye and allowed the bullet to ricochet off my scales before feeling a slight pushing sensation from under my jaw.
It was the one with grey hair, looking all proud of himself. He'd masked his approach using some sort of art and my closed eye to try to deliver me an uppercut.
Not that it actually moved me or hurt me, though, from how he was clenching his fist and falling backwards, it seems like he did more damage to himself than me, since I took no damage at all.
I smirked and whipped my arm around, backhanding him into a series of trees in the distance.
"Saare!" Someone shouted in shock.
That was two down, next I decided to deal with the girl with the gun who could warp space, and the man with the light spirit. I'd rather not have to deal with him awakening as a True Hero in these circumstances, especially since Luminous asked me not to kill them.
I looked at my target. "Prepare yourselves!" I warned before spitting a low-powered {Storm Blast} at them. I exerted more effort suppressing the power of this move in order not to kill them with it than at any other time during this fight. Still, my {Storm Blast} is like firing a shot of a particle cannon at someone, so even then, the two were instantly blown away, and if not for the fact that I intentionally gave them a glancing shot, they would have been vaporized, rather than being blasted away.
"Glenda! Leonard!"
The Green-Eyed White Haired one and the Red-Haired one both lined up next to each other, casting a powerful Wind-Fire spell. "{Flame Tornado}!" They shouted as a massive flaming tornado appeared in front of me and slammed into my Barrier, not dealing any damage. I did dodge out of reflex, however, when the Red-Haired one threw his spear, which was empowered by a Flame Elementa,l at my face, though it was more out of reflex than actually because it would hurt me.
"Litus, now!" The green-eyed one called out as I noticed the others besides Hinata had made their way to surround me.
The small woman with blonde hair nodded as she began chanting some sort of prayer. A massive magic circle appeared beneath me, with several smaller circles appearing around each of the remaining 5.
"""""{Sanctuary Disintegration}!""""" They all cried out at the same time.
Now THIS was something I needed to worry about. Technically, if I allowed myself to be hit by this, it would kill me; however, that was only if I let it happen. I could easily blow away even the Spiritrons using my Storm Magic; however, doing so would cause massive amounts of damage to the surrounding environment, so I decided to get just a little serious.
As the beam of light fell around me, a bright light shone, blinding everyone around and even temporarily disabling [Universal Detect] due to the magicules used to run the skill being purified. As the light began to fade, in the place where the Storm Dragon once stood, there was only smoke and dust.
"Did we get him?" Litus asked.
"Don't you know that saying that is bad luck?" I stated as I appeared in front of her in my human form, driving my fist into her gut in one smooth motion. As I did so, multiple of my [Multiple Existance] bodies did the same for the rest of the group except for Hinata, who was watching everything unfold with a stunned look on her face.
"What the hell is that!?! The Storm Dragon turned into a human!?!" One of the people running the Holy Field asked in shock as the other combatants fell over.
"To knock out, Litus, Frtiz, Bacchus, and Garde at once... what a monster!" Another said, shaking in fear.
All of my Multiple Bodies returned to the center of the battlefield now, remerging back into a singular 'me' without delay. Now there was only Hinata and the black haired gentleman remaining. I looked at the man with black hair. He was doubled over on his knees, barely keeping conscious after my clone punched his gut. I was surprised by his willpower and decided that I'd learn his name later. He seemed like probably the second strongest after Hinata.
"Just let it go. It's not like remaining awake will fix anything." I stated, releasing a bit of my Dragon Spirit Haki with the intention to knock him out. The next moment, the Holy Field shattered like glass, causing Arnaud to look up in terror and disbelief. "Whoops, I used a bit too much power there. I wanted to keep that up so that you all wouldn't lose hope completely." I stated.
"Here, let me fix that," I said, a smug smile coming across my face as I snapped my fingers and placed an even stronger version of the Holy Field above all of us. "Better?" I asked, looking at Arnaud, who had given up and finally allowed himself to black out.
*Tch!*
Hinata clicked her tongue, a look of desperation hidden terribly behind a mask of defiance. She raised her blade toward me, flaring her Aura. "Don't underestimate me!" She declared.
I raised my brow. "Can you even do anything? Your earlier attack that I deflected seems to have eaten away at your magicule reserves quite a bit."
Hinata smiled. It was a smile that acknowledged the hopelessness of her situation. "Even still... I won't let you take me down without a fight! I will protect this land and the smiles of the people who live here!" She declared.
"Hinata-sama..." One of the observers muttered in reverence.
"Humph! I'll have you know that I had no intention of harming anyone when I came here today. I was invited by my girlfriend!" I stated.
Hinata looked puzzled for a moment. "I thought monsters couldn't lie without losing power...?" She stated to herself more than to me.
I crossed my arms. "First, they can't. Second, True Dragons are not monsters. We are above such classifications, and if I wanted to, I could lie all I wanted without losing any power. Third, I didn't even lie... though for her sake I won't say who she is." I corrected.
"But... our God Luminous gave us all a revelation to... prepare for your arrival!?!" One of the priests who was listening to our conversation said.
"Yeah, probably because I would soon be... arriving! As in showing up. Did they say I would be attacking?" I shot back.
"N-no, but the Luminaries said-" He continued before a bolt of light shot out from his back, and the priest fell forward, dead.
Hinata seemed to tense at this, turning half away from me and half towards the shadowy figures in the darkness who arrived from the edge of the forest clearing.
"Well, well, well, look at what we have here. Lady Hinata, begging for her life and offering to switch sides and join the Storm Dragon!" The man in all white with a white hood said as he and six of his associates all emerged alongside a little girl.
Hinata gritted her teeth and shouted back. "I did not beg nor try to switch sides! Is this your plan, Luminaries!?!"
I crossed my arms, getting a good understanding of the situation. "Oh, I get it now..." I closed my eyes and sensed the entire region for Luminous' presence, noticing she was in a rather desperate-looking fight with an old man. "Wait... is that Granbell? Rudra's old apprentice?" I asked
Hinata looked at me, surprised. "Granbell? I know there is one Luminary named Gran who doesn't seem to be here, but no Granbell." She offered.
"Grandfather is currently dealing with the Demon Lord Valentine at the moment and will not be here to witness your death, Lady Hinata," the Little girl interjected.
I facepalmed. "I just wanted to have a nice dinner with my girlfriend and maybe get my dick wet. Why did this turn into a conspiracy all of a sudden?" I sighed and shook my head.
The little girl's eyes widened slightly, and an evil smile appeared on her face. You seem to desire women, then... that information will make dominating you all the easier!" She declared, reaching her hand forward.
"No thanks, I'm not a Masochist nor a pedo." I rejected instantly.
The girl suddenly fell over, completely stunned by my response, getting up with a furious blush on her face.
"That wasn't the kind of 'Domination' I was talking about! [Greed]!" She declared, activating her Unique Skill as a black mist began to surround me and my mind came under assault from her power.
