Chapter 49 - An Angel Descent Part 2

[Bourgidus! Are you in the position yet? The bastard blood suckers are coming! Finish it quickly!] yelled Murgeist as he stared at a falling burning angel.

And with a thud the forest wept, as trees blister and blackened, with a meteor-sized hole that could swallow all kinds of men! Like lava a machine stirred from within the breach! With a metal body dressed in the colors of its chapter… A man who is more than a man, trapped within a coffin… with a symbol of a tear on its chest, Murgeist felt annoyance at what he saw… An Incaendius dreadnought!

With its Metal power claws twisting within an active flamethrower, with a jet pack, the mighty machine of old leaped from the crater and began his great purge! Fire! Purify and simple! Burned all in its awake! The plagues of Nurgle sizzling… screaming as their cellular structure collapses to the heat! To its mercy! The animals of the forest welcomed their deaths, but Murgeist and Putidus!

Though they attacked as one, firing off their diseased weapons, their puny shots bounced off the dreadnought's outer plate! Praying one Illness to breach its hardened shell, came at a disappointment to the pair, as the dreadnought, filled with the indignation of his father, set himself ablaze while the fighting continued!

But while they killed each other, Bourgidus stood on a cliff edge! Just overlooking a pair of train tracks! Preparing himself to fight a demon of Slaanesh for his master prize, but the sudden-ty of a voice gave him pause!

[Bourgidus! Your reputation proceeds you… "great champion of Nurgel"] said Akios from within the darkness of the pale forest behind Bourdgidus.

[Akios…huh… and here I wondered whose chapter master was here… but I guess… I don't have to guess that hard now... Right? Oh! Great servant of Gabriel!] replied Boudgidus as he kept his eyes on the train tracks.

[you seem distracted… Bourgidus… now, why is that I wonder? Are you also after the artifact?] replied Akios within questions.

[artifact? Hmm… yes, I guess your chapter might call 'it' that… or is it perhaps... Na... it couldn't be… did they not tell you what we're after? Or are you uncertain? Which is it Akios…]

But rather than answering Bourgidus's line of questions, Akios didn't hesitate and fired his bolter rounds, with his team that appeared like ghosts in the grass!

This, of course, enraged Bourgidus, but knowing he couldn't leave his post, or risk missing his chance, Bourgidus stood his ground and spread his blight launcher, covering as much ground as he could in toxic fumes!

And while he engaged the angels, Molly, and her servitor friends stared down a demon of Slaanesh! Twisted and beautiful, with a horn to kill and a horse to feed, with a tongue that tasted the air for hidden desires…

A warrior… a shield… for Slaanesh, in purple and pink, with white and lust, the pair were like one as they charged at Molly! With a chest bouncing with supple breasts, and a gaze as straight and narrow, the demon readied her glaive-in spear for a strike!

With a harrowing but beautiful arch, the demon grazed her spear tip against Molly's shield! With a deafening bang, Molly was sent back with a failed parried block! With a deep groove etched into the shield, Molly felt it, the annoyance, of the strength of demons!

With a scowl of an expression, Molly realized that the demon had used only one hand in that attack, as her shield hand was busy absorbing the bullets of the flying servitor! While charging ahead, the demon ignored the weak, fragile human girl and went after what she prescribed to be the bigger threat… the giant servitor wrapped in gold!

Gold hurt her eyes, a color she hated, for in the halls of Slaanesh she was the only one not permitted to wear such a color… while the mockery of her fellow demons did not bother her, she hated the fact that she was barred from wearing a color her god flaunted! On herself and in her many rooms of lavishness!

She knew she was being petty, but so what! Her god kept the reasoning as to why from her… maybe that's what made the rooms they walked in perfect, but she could only guess, and now wasn't the time to think of old annoyance, as the golden man thrusted her his spear into her steed!

Quick and easy the blade tip craved its way through the steed demon's hide, much to their surprise, as how could a weapon in plain human hands have the strength to cut a perfect model! While her own steed's spiral arms redacted and cracked under the hardness of the golden plate!

With feet screeching across the floor from the pushback of the charge, the golden servitor pulled the trigger hidden in the spear! Blowing a hole through its chest and out the ass of the steed! Killing it out right and instantly! Leaving no room for lustful desire, though based on the expression on the steed… many would think otherwise…

Jumping off her fallen steed, Slavisha, hid behind her shield as she leaped to carve out a wing from a flying servitor! While simultaneously shield-slamming the other one out of the way! Slamming its head against the floor, the baby cherub felt its missing wing as it splutters out blood! While sparks and drugs or by design numbed any pain, its machine's eyes flickered in a static view film, as a spear blade severed its brain!

Watching the brain matter oozing from its skull, sent the other baby cherub into a tantrum, while 43-sea was busily analyzing the cost of a replacement, while also simultaneously collecting data on the demon. As for tears… she shed none, as she had those removed a long time ago… Or at least she believed that she did…

With a running baby crying and blasting at her shield, Slavisha raised her spear to block the golden one, making sure to face his spear tip upwards and never have it directly facing her. The damned golden one fired any time it could, an action that drove the demoness insane with annoyance, as she had to always keep her shield assigned to the mad baby, who should have run out of ammo in any actual sense!

Annoyed and making a bold choice, Slavisha, came up with a plan, through the hot steam and the gunfire smoke, while staring with stary eyes into Molly's! With one final protection under her shield, the demoness tossed her silver and purple shield away! As it flew in the air with all its symbolism and the depiction of Slaanesh, seeing it coming, the baby servitor did a quick maneuver turn in the air, dodging it by a hair!

But when the cherub spun around, its eyes lit up to see a bolter round enter its head! As its head exploded, the demon laughed as it took the spear through the stomach! While her glaive took the blow of Molly's sudden swing!

With a bloody smile, her hair grew longer and silkier, as it fed on her warp energy! With a face contorting to show her true appearance! With rough dinosaur feet and purple skin turning black, with a hole in her stomach pouring blood, with a spine that should be severed, fully encased in mysteries…

With a head turn as creepy as her smile, and black eyes that saw through mortal souls, Slavisha, stared into Molly even as she gored herself free from the golden spear! And with both hands bent her glaive downward on Molly!

Even with a shield and mace in between, their hardened steel became lax under the pressure, even as the golden servitor, didn't waste the moment…As he used his spear to push the demon away!

The tumbling and the sliding didn't stop the demon from posing in all four! Recovering with a hiss, even weaponless didn't dissuade her! She only continued to smile even as the blood continued to leak from in between her teeth! With a scream of a banshee, her amour finished crumbling…

With a chest bare for all to see, she became like an animal with her six breasts sliding back and forth between their chains, with two tiny arms just below her bottom pair of breasts, holding them in place! With another scream filled with floating wild hair, the demoness charged again! Never taking her eyes off Molly.

Seeing the demon come for her, Molly spat what blood dripped to her mouth, that came from the cut on her forehead, with a shield broken and a mace worthless, Molly, still stood her ground! Fearless and disgusted…

As the demon grew closer, the golden servitor took his place between the demon and Molly, but Molly refused his help. Instead, she insisted on just borrowing the guardian spear! Though 43-sea thought that idea was a stupid one, as no normal human could ever hope to bear its weight!

But seeing Molly's firm gaze, 43-sea agreed, even if it was against her better judgment, as all probability was against even the faintest of percent, that Molly could even hope to swing the weapon. But nonetheless, 43-sea dropped the weapon into Molly's hands!

Feeling its weight that felt like a tank, Molly closed her eyes, as she prayed to the emperor for power! For strength! She prayed to the machine spirit inside the weapon. she felt its coldness, its warmth… and its desires…

What it was made for, its purpose…. Through the serenity in her inner world, that escaped the rattling of the train, the explosions in the air, the screaming of the demon, and the lustful odors! And soon, what felt like the heaviness of the world was in her hands, felt as light as a snowflake.

Impossible… was the only word 43-sea could think of to describe what she was seeing! A normal human girl… holding a spear designed for an angel to carry…. Could her arms bear the weight of the weapon's pushback? Impossible... Improbable… yet…

Molly didn't even take a single step back as she fired bolter round after bolter round through the spear! Each bolt is as thick as a man's hand, as it cut and spiraled through the air, the demoness dodged each round with a crazy smile!

Even as the force of the wind left cuts on her skin, and while embracing the gifts of Slaanesh, the bones in her arms separated and rejoined as crab claws! With greed for battle and blood dripping down her eyes, the demoness slammed both her claws down, as Molly used the shaft of the spear, to block them!

Through sheer determination, Molly ignored the breath of the demon, as she swung her away! But weak was her swing, and quick was her mind! For as the demon repositioned itself upright just a few feet away, and leaped in for another attack, Molly thrusted her spear forward with the lightness and the quickness of a sister of silence!

As the spear pierced the supple skin of the demon at the heart, Molly pulled the trigger as a claw scraped the flesh on Molly's cheek! Yet, even in death and torn from the top, the expression of joy never left the demon's face, a fact that annoyed Molly even in her victory.

And with a few curse words that brushed her lips, Molly felt the weight of the spear return! Dropping it suddenly, Molly felt disappointed more than joy as she looked at the spear. She felt upset but also thankful… giving her thanks to the emperor and the machine spirits for their aid, but in her heart, she felt like something was missing…

As her eyes spotted the broken weapons of the imperium… her weapons…. She then turned to look at those the demon had carried… and wondered if she could…. But such thoughts boarded on heretical thinking… something no sister would ever consider! But… if there was a way… could they be of use…

Watching Molly stare at weapons from a demon, got 43-sea curious as she too made wonders out of things people would normally consider heretical.

[Molly, do you wish for a shield? Or a blunt weapon or a glaive?] said 43-sea as she opened the cockpit and strove past the bodies of her dead servitors, with only a passing glance.

[both… I want both… but is it possible…. Their…]

[demonic weapon… yes, it's possible to reforge and purify them…. To add to them… but doing so, will require keeping classified secrets… can you do that? If so, I can remake them for you, but I must make an inquiry of you if I may ask.] cut in 43-sea unflinching.

[inquiry? Do you mean a question? Sure, ask away…]

[why would a fellow battle sister like you, possibly want with a demonic weapon made from demon hands? Do you even understand the complexity of what you're agreeing to? You do know it won't just be yours and my secret… right? Your fellow sister will be punished with you once found out by your creed, or by the inquisition…]

[why would they be punished? It's my choice... isn't it?]

[it is, as I do not care either way what they do to me if found out, as I have a master high in authority, but you three… do not have such luxury… take Layla as an example, she may be somewhat a knight, but she's also an unsanctioned psyker! Then adding this on top of that is just…]

[wait! How did you know she was unsanctioned!]

[Molly… anyone can tell, she doesn't bare the markings! plus the warden knight's repairs…. It's too obvious! And Molly… you still have yet to answer my inquiry.] replied 43-sea as she pointed back to the damaged knight.

[okay fine, then we don't involve her! And as for your damn inquiry, I need a reliable weapon! Okay... is that enough for you or do you need something more?] replied Molly with irritation in her voice.

[it's not that simple Molly… we need her power to purify the demon weapons… the warp... Slaanesh touch… it's not easy… The probability isn't good without her help. And yes, I need something more substantial of an answer! A reliable weapon? The imperium has a dozen... No hundreds of such weapons!]

[no! The imperium doesn't… all the weapons I've used keep breaking… the enemy is that strong! I need something more! And I can't… sigh… I can't always be saved… by the emperor's light… Just look! All that fighting we did… all that bleeding… and not a scratch or a dent on that demon shield!

I'm no fool 43-sea… I won't always have time to pray to the emperor or the machine spirits… I need strength… as a normal human I have limits, I don't have special powers like Layla or the technical knowledge or sight of Mary, all I have are my arms… so, please 43-sea understand…] replied Molly with exhaustion and frustration, with a vice grip and eyes never leaving the dead servitors!

With a hidden voice box, that talked in a language Molly didn't understand, 43-sea calculated and debated:

[ alright… I get it… we'll ask for her opinion on this later… for now, I'll just keep them hidden in one of these boxes… is that okay with you?]

Watching Molly nod her head, 43-sea continued:

[a wise choice, but remember the battle sister history of penance isn't a beautiful one as the stories for tell… just be mindful of that... Molly…]

Continuing to shake her head in agreement, Molly walked up to the two dead servitors and picked out a gun, though it dripped in blood, Molly didn't seem to mind it but then turned to 43-sea as if asking if it was alright.

[I desire payment…] replied 43-sea to Molly's gesture, with her back facing her as she went back to work on the warden.
