Chapter 47 - An Angel Descent

In the deep recess of the warp lays a ship sailing, a daughter once called grey, now dripped in a Red Tear! And painted in bloody ravens, with a black imprint crest. Were her halls lay decorated in fine paintings and metal works, made by angel hands… were rooms filled with praying men and angels! Were the cherubs rise and fall to do their work!

To prostate their tiny hands on the armors of the gods! In rotating rooms, the angels of men stood in line as prayers of the mechanicus did their rituals. While the angels dressed for war, quiet hymns played, while deep men meditated to control a bloody thirst and to hold back a growing rage!

As the Gellar field generators hum to a close, the shutters open to a world system with many moons and stars…

[The scans are showing a plague... And another... Vermin… warp entities by the dozens! Our target… Under threat… what are your orders… chapter master…Gabriel!]

[LAUNCH THEM!]

[At once, chapter master! May these fools perish in the name of the emperor!]

[hmmm… happy hunting Akios… protect our prize!]

Canoness short POV:

Staring at a fortress, dressed in the stars of the emperor, came in a call for help! As a disease has run rampant on her hollow decks! Calls for aid flood her vox, as the sisters she sent to the surface world fail to reply at the intended time!

With a headache brewing, the warp bends the real space around her—around her ship! Out of the void comes a red pearl—a vessel of legends. With a hint of unbelief in her eyes, Danicia praises the emperor as she clutches the rosary she wears as a necklace.

Seeing such a magnificent ship that once carried a proud son of the emperor, as legends foretold, she ignored the other calls as the Red Tear opened its vox channel to hers!

Putidus and Mugeist short POV

Over a train stood a demon, while in the forest stood three followers of Nurgle, two of which stood their ground in a plain forest, while out of the moon's embrace, came a rustling noise! The winds were carrying the sounds of something…

[do I hear galloping?]

[What, like horses? Putidus, don't tell me you're scared of a little pony now.] replied Murgeist as he turned his twisted metal around to meet Putidus in the eye.

[It's not a normal horse, Murgeist! It seems another has come to claim what's ours…] replied Putidus, ignoring Murgiest's previous taunt in jest, as his eyes focused on the moving brush ahead.

With the turning of his reaper autocannon, the forest begged for him to stop, as his bullets rain at a galloping horse!

Seeing the horse and its color and what it was, Murgeist let out a hearty laugh as he fired his plague combine bolter!

Dodge and shielding her horse from the servants of a rival god! The demoness Luscenvia, stared at her green foes, at their decaying bodies, and felt such disgust at their imperfection! Monsters who played in filth… who degraded what was perfect…

Cursed humans, that spat and coveted what was her master's! With anger and indignation, Luscenvia lost herself to the warp!

With purple skin and a long tongue, with quadruple breasts and arms becoming thicker, with an aura of a deep purple, she charged ahead, unafraid of the bullets and of the laughing… of the plagues and diseases, of the parasites and bugs that rained on her supple skin!

With the eyes of a demon, she smashed head first as her horse got skewered through the chest by metal-clawed hands! Toren in half and knocked away, the demoness cared not for her steed as her whip pulled the autocannon away from her head! While her shield deformed and ruined, flew overhead! With a sharpened claw for an arm, she went in for the kill! But Putidus was never one to fight fair! A trait lost to him with his home world. With a smile and a gut ripped open, out jumped a Nurgling!

While gripping her two lower breasts, and with the carefreeness of a child in laughter, the Nurgling exploded in a puss-filled veil! The plague eroded her flesh, causing uncontrolled sores and tumors to invade her body!

With her jaw melting and skin peeling, and with her stomach opened to the air, Luscenvia still pushed forward even as her eyes lost their beauty, but on the ground and helpless, all she could achieve was staring down the barrel of an auto gun!

As the bullets ripped her to pieces, she didn't scream, while her sister was playing with Murgeist, she saw it all… smelled it all, and while running circles she chanted:

[we are his shields… we are his hallmarks… to die is to perfect his perfection!]

With flowing hair that shined in the dark, its beaming red, and eyes that glowed like a snake in purple, with fangs of venom, Drachisha played the defensive game! running and striking with her shield, Murgeist waited for the right moment.

Studying the women in purple skin, patient and meticulous she did not repeat her fellow demon's mistake! Clad in more armor, than showing skin, a true shield of Slaanesh, but still showing a sight of lustfulness, desire…. With a creepy smile and glowing horns, she pulled her stead down! Sliding and dodging the bullets meant for her head!

As the dirt flew, and the smoke intoxicating with Nurgle plagues, the steed slid right into Putidus! Stabbing him with his spiral-clawed arms! But what was pain to a child of Nurgle? With a hearty laugh, Putidus rammed his power claw right through the steed, much like he did the other one, but strangely enough, this steed didn't die the same!

Though he bled, and organs ceased their function, the steed high on his master perfection twirled his tongue around Putidus's neck! Where its sadistic spike dug in and drew in the plagues and the creepy things that crawled, the creepy things, digging into its flesh and eating him alive, but the steed cares not for such matters, he was a shield… being born with the specific purpose of taking the blunt…

Annoyed by the creature's defiance, Putidus tore his claw upwards. Slicing the stead into ribbons from mid to top! With it dead, Putidus looked to see Murgeist engaged in a mele!

His Bubotic axe felt heavy in his hands, but deadly to his foes, with each clash, the demoness felt the stumble! The shaking… as her sword and shield absorb blow for blow! Locked in a dance of death, the demoness, let go of her charm!

With teeth like a lion… with hooves like a goat… and a tail like a succubus, she fought with every desire! But her weapon barely scraped the surface of her foe's armor! Her strength even as a demon was not enough, the force of her strike lost weight with each continued blow!

She knew why, she felt it… the plague worms of Nurgle got into her skin! Making her sluggish… drawing in pain she mistook for pleasure! With one final parrying blow with her shield, she felt the bolter rounds shred her arm!

But not one to stop, Drachisha screamed as Murgeist tossed aside his bolter, and punched her in the face! Breaking teeth and horns, bruising skin, and cracking jaws so hard, that half of Drachisha's tongue split off! Chopping her other arm off, Murgeist grabbed Drachisha by the hair and taunted:

[for someone who prized perfection so much, it looks to me like you're the flawed one!]

With a spit of blood and eyes non-flinching in death, Drachisha replied with a chuckle:

[ha… you fool… his plans are perfect… don't you get it…]

[get what?] replied Murgiest playing along in mockery

[sigh, you stupid fat ass… it means, this... My death… no… our death was all part of his plan!] replied Drachisha with a smile.

As she looked up to a sky on fire! Seeing the shooting stars knowingly, she laughed even harder as Murgeist axe chopped off her head! With an axe coated in blood, Murgeist felt the shaking of the ground, and heard the fires of the engines!

[Damn! It's the bloody angels! Putidus!]

[you don't have to tell me… I already know!] replied Putidus as he fired at the incoming pods!

Meanwhile, the leading demoness' short POV

With eyes closed, staring at Layla's back, the leading demoness, felt her kin's death…

[I see… you two have fulfilled your roles as shields and played your part well, but now… come to me! For I need your souls!]

As warp entities, the dead sister demons swirled around like a purple fog drenched in blue sparks, as they willingly and obediently joined with the leading demoness!

Where Most demons would refuse such an act, as becoming one with another would effectively be true death, for they could no longer form a new body in the warp independently, but who were these demons… they were the shields of Slaanesh!

Absorbing the power of her sister's souls, the leading demoness looked up at the sky with burning rocks! Knowing time was short, she looked back down at Layla fleeting back, and said in a taunting voice:

[so, this is the daughter of the corpse king! Ha… I knew you were weak! But I didn't think you were a coward! Must be hereditary…]

Knowing the words were but a taunt, Layla still hesitated in her steps, even as Miss A advised her not to.

[that's right... Just like all the other battle sisters before you… you guys just can't stand even a little bit of mockery to your so-called god… tsk if only you knew the truth… I wonder if you would still worship such a man…] continued the demoness in jest as she watched Layla hesitate.

{what truth? That our emperor is a man? That he never wanted to be a god? That he burned his own son's world who spread his gospel? Please tell me which truth, do you mean… and then ask if I care!} replied Layla with a tightened grip on her sword.

[so, you know, but you are also wrong… your corpse emperor was always a god, your kind just never knew…] replied the demoness with a sly smile.

{oh! That… yes, I see where you're getting at…}

[do you?]

{yes, just like how Slaanesh has existed even before the Eldar fall.}

[Ah! So, you do get it! Then you know there's no hope for your kind, right? The end result is inevitable!] replied the leading demoness cutting Layla off mid-sentence

{your right... The end result may be inevitable… but even then, my stance will not change... as I asked another before... what's the alternative? Become Slaanesh plaything? Join hands with Nurgle? Or be a cog in Tzeentch chess game? Or lose myself to the madness that is Khorne!

No… the only happy ending I see is with my emperor... My father… even if I were to lose my soul, at least I can rest easy knowing your kind and your games will end with his sword!}

[hmm… so, you dismiss the other gods? I hear nothing of malice or of the Eldar fallen gods? What of them? What of the Necrons or the C'tan? Or the true Omnissiah?] replied the demoness with enthusiasm and opened arms.

{now, I find that odd… why would a servant of Slaanesh care about my feelings towards the lesser deities? Why would they matter in this great game? Malice is barely a small blimp in the warp, a child to the other chaos gods, much like the god of the greater good! The Eldar fallen gods? As a human why should I care for them? They are but a fading existence barely hanging onto life. This conversation is getting us nowhere! What do you really want demon?}

[well... What do I want… hmm… I know… I want your friends to die!]

{Is that why you stopped me? Ha… you fool… your companion is already dead!} replied Layla as her sword burst into flames as a purple warp entity in spark revealed itself right in front of the Leading demoness, much to her surprise.
