All she could think of was that this was not Edward, but instead an imposter.
When Edward started speaking, her reaction was half a beat slow. It wasn't until his hand exerted some pressure on her waist that her rationality returned, and she glanced at Grant Ray indifferently, "Edward Anderson is my boyfriend."
She said that Edward was her boyfriend, but she didn't say the imposter was, so it didn't count as lying.
There's nothing wrong with that statement.
