Lin Miao froze for a moment, utterly stunned. Then, as realization dawned, she turned toward Gu Zi, her eyes wide with shock. "Sister Gu Zi, I've never hated you. I never imagined you'd hate me so much… that you'd want to destroy me!"
Gu Zi, unfazed, clapped her hands mockingly and even smiled. "Bravo! No wonder you two get along so well. If you're going to play like this, I guess it's time to get serious."
The invigilating teacher, sensing that something was amiss, turned to Gu Zi and asked, "How do you plan to clear your name?"
Gu Zi didn't waste time with dramatics. She spoke concisely and confidently. "Math is my weakest subject. The final fill-in-the-blank question, to be specific—I had no clue how to solve it and just scribbled a random answer, planning to come back to it later. Then I saw the answer written on the crumpled piece of paper. After doing some quick calculations in my head, I realized my original answer was wrong, and the one on the paper was correct."
