The next day, Adrian arrived late to class as usual. It was no longer strange to find Adrian coming late to classes, he was known by almost every teacher as a chronic late comer.
"Good morning Ma." He greeted the teacher before entering the class.
She simply ignored him, continuing her lecture which he had just interrupted with his greeting.
He walked to his usual seat, which was right next to Alexis; only to find Xi sitting on it.
"What is going on?" Adrian asked Alexis who seemed engrossed in whatever conversation he was having with Xi, as they were both giggling like children.
"Mr Kane, get a seat." The teacher said in a commanding tone, due to Adrian still standing.
He had no choice but to take Xi's seat which was right next to Shaktar.'This is gonna be a long day.' he thought to himself.
The class carried on as expected, with the teacher discussing topics which Adrian found uninteresting. After almost an hour of what seemed to be the most boring lecture of his life, she finally said something that piqued his interest.
"The next topic of discussion is going to be on Cosmic Particles.
As you all know, what gives us the ability to manipulate the matter around us is a phenomenon known as the Cosmic Particle Attraction. Our body's core energy is an accumulation of Cosmic particles stored within us.
That is why we are able to manipulate our body matter and to an extent,the matter particles around us. The rank detector device actually measures the amount of Cosmic Particles contained in one's body before allocating a rank.
Not only do we contain these particles, even our environment, the air, the ground, everything contains these Cosmic Particles and a few persons are able to use these cosmic particles in the environment. This is what places the A-rank and S-rank humans above every other rank.
So, what exactly are transformation the techniques? They are techniques used to attract or acquire more cosmic particles from the surroundings. Although; temporary, they exponentially increase the amount of Cosmic Particles in one's body, granting the user more power and control over matter. It is believed that these cosmic particles are of different types, as they grant different individuals, different abilities. Blah blah blah...." Adrian stopped paying attention to the teachers words.
He had acquired the information he needed. He now understood why Ryan's transformation during yesterday's battle gave him the upper hand and why such techniques needed to be kept a secret from the general public.
"Any questions?" The teacher asked after she was done with her long boring lecture.
"Excuse me" A dark haired girl raised her hand.
"Yes Jessica, what is it?" The teacher asked.
"Are animals and plants also able to make use of these cosmic particles?" Jessica asked.
"Yes. Infact, recent studies have shown that not only are they mutated by these particles, it also grants them some level of intelligence." She replied.

At a complete different part of the planet, a helicopter could be seen landing on some desolate tropical island at night.
*Swoosh*
The sounds of the rotating blades cutting the air seemed to echo across the almost desolate island.
"An Aeroshuttle would have been better than this rotating old piece of junk." An orange coloured haired man; with a 10 headed dragon tattoo on his right arm spoke, as he and his '8 ft 7' counterpart alighted the helicopter in pitch black attires.
"You complain too much Dreco." His counterpart spoke in a deep tone.
Both men walked into a cave which was just a stone throw away from their landing point.
The cave was as dark as night; but, both men didn't seem bothered, as the navigated the dark cave effortlessly.
*Ding Dong*
The 8 ft 7 man pushed a button, which opened a secret door to an elevator. They both walked into the elevator and pushed another button.
"I hope those losers won't keep us waiting." Dreco nagged, as the lift took them several stories below the ground.
"They should all be a here, since Rarkham called for this meeting." The 8 ft 7 man clad in black said.
*Ding Dong*
The elevator rang again as it reached the deepest floor.
"Welcome." A deep yet composed voice greeted both men as they stepped out of the elevator.
"Since we are all here, let's begin the preparations." The deep voice said.
