The moon hung low in the night sky, veiled by clouds that stretched like tattered silk across its face, while the capital city of Arndell was busy with celebration.
The birthday of Saintess Ariadne is celebrated grandly every year in Arndell as a National day. As a kingdom renowned for its faith and purity, many people from around the world come to attend the festivities, which begin a month before the main festival.
Priests from the temple had come out to bless the people to celebrate the birthday of their saintess, who was known for her generous nature, after all she had given up her life to save the world. As her devotees and lineage, all they could do was to help out people as much as they could, which was another tourist attraction.
