Immortality.
For some, it seems like a blessing, and for others not.
Imagine seeing everyone close to you die one after another, your family, your friends, your lover.
Some people will say, if you're immortal you can make how much money you desire, you can live in luxury, and you will be apart of the upper society, but..what if you don't have capabilities for that? What if you're not good at making money?
You had tried other things, over and over, and yet no matter how much effort you put in, no matter how much of your time, no matter how many sacrifices you made, even if you're doing all of this, you don't see a change? What can you do?
It has been a vicious cycle.
You will give up on things little by little, you will start to question yourself, and you will try to commit suicide and, you will just feel the pain of dying.
You will slowly grow numb.
Slowly and slowly, your mind will crumble, maybe you will go crazy or maybe you will maintain your sanity.. but in the end.
You will lose yourself over time.
You will see yourself in a pit of loneliness.
You will just want everything to end.

It was a peaceful day like any others on earth, and each person were living their own life.
Like me, I was living my own.
I'm a man, a beautiful man, yes a truly splendide man, a mainly man, a man at the pinnacle of beaut- humhum.

My name is Rey, I have black hair with some white hair mixed in it, I have dark brown eyes, my face is horrible, nothing coming close to the average. I'm 17 years old, and I was a cashier at a little store down the town.
I was in my apartment, and I have just returned from my part-time job. Still in my work uniform, I was lying on the couch, I was exhausted today.
I turned on the TV to watch some films, while I was watching, I decided to check the time on my phone. It was still 2:30 p.m., at 4:00 p.m. I have to go get my mother at her work, it was 15 minutes from here, she worked in a bakery.
Feeling a little sleepy, I put an alarm and decided to text my mother.
(MOM)
"Mooommmmm!!!!!!"

"Yes, my little baby?"
Typing...
"I have returned from work, I'm on the couch right now."

"How was your day at work? "
Typing...
"IT WAS HELL!!! I'M TOTALLY EXHAUSTED RIGHT NOW!!!"

"Sleep a little, I'll cook something for you when I get home."

"Mom, you're the best!!"

putting my phone on my chest, my eyes were slowly closing, and then, it was completely black.

Suddenly, a loud sound outside made me open my eyes.
"What's happening??"
Startle and totally confused, I rushed to go to the balcony to look outside.
What was in the sky was something out of reality.
"Just what in the fucking world is this..?"
I rubbe my eyes to see if I'm seeing clearly.
Outside in the sky, there was a crack, it was like the sky was breaking. All the people on the street were watching the sky, all of them not knowing what was happening.
Feeling something was definitely not right, I go search for my phone to check if my mom is alright.
Suddenly on my tv, the program have change to the news.
"Attention to all the people, A crack in the sky have appeared in different place all around the world, the scientists are still analyzing what it is, the government has decided..."
The cracks were becoming bigger and bigger, and it formed a portal, inside the portal...there was a gigantic reptilian eyes watching us.
A massive hand engulf in a crimson fire come out of the portal.
"ROOAAAAARRRRRRRRRR!!!!"
The roar of the monster resounded, making the ground tremble, we all cover our ears.
The monster was announcing his descent.
The people on the street were screaming and running away.
"RUNNN!!! RUNNNNNN IT'S A MONSTER!!"
"AHHHHHHH!!!!!"
"AHHHHHHHH RUNNNNN!!!!!!"
"AHHHHHH!!!!!!"
The street was in chaos.
Suddenly, an unbearable pressure fall upon us. All the people froze in place, some have loose consciousness, some have pee in their paint, and some were crying, not knowing what would happen to them.
Coming out of the portal was a gigantic body cover in obsidian scale, with his two reptilian eyes, his wings that were covering the sky and plunging all the town in his shadow, an otherwordly aura.
It was a dragon.
He was like a god, a god who has descended to the land of the mortal to announce the death sentence of all of us.
All the screams of panic and of fears were acclamation to his ears.
"FUCK MOM IS IN DANGER!!"
Thinking about my mom, I ran toward the door, and slam into it, not giving a shit about opening it, I need to hurry!!!
Running toward the stars, I jump down, failing my landing I roll and crash in the wall.
"Ahhrrgg.."
Feeling a pircing pain in my left ribs, my head was spinning, I shake my head, putting a hand on my knees I stand up and put my other hand on the wall to support myself and walk with pain toward the door...i was in panic I need to hurry..
beside the door I saw a metal rod, I grab it.
"Better be careful outside..."
Opening the door I go outside, people were running and screaming, some were leaving their car behind.
In the middle of the road I spot a little girl, she seem to have lost her parent, her knees were bleeding. she was cover with bruise and she was crying..
People were running and pushing her, like she was an obstacle.
"Those fuckers.."
I look at the little girl.
I hesitate to help her..after all I didn't know her and I need to hurry..
Letting out a sigh I whisper
"Mom will hate me if I leave this little girl like this.."
Taking a deep breath, I walk toward the little girl. people were pushing me but I didn't care and I was pushing them back.
Arrive in front of the little girl, I crouch.
"Hello, were are your parent?"
Even in all the commotion around us I keep my calm and spoke gently.
"I can-can't fin-d my mom-my an-d da-ddy.."
"Th-e peo-ple ar-e push-ing me.."
She was crying, crying all the tears of ther little body..
I wipe her tears with my hand and pat her head
"I'll help you find your mommy and daddy."
I said to her with a smile.
"Rea-lly-??"
She look at me with teary eyes..
"Yes I will help you"
"come here I'll carry you"
She put her two little hand up, I grab her and lift her up.
"Put your hand around my neck."
"Okay mister..."
"What's your name little girl?"
"My name is Orion"
"Oh Orion like onion? Okayy so let's go now little Onion."
I said with a smile, she smile back and giggle.
"Not onion mister, Orion."
Seeing her smile, my heart aches..
I turn around and run toward the bakery.
While I was running, I was lost in thought. What would happen now?
And then a little voice enter my ears.
"You're a good mister,"
Even in all this chaos and screams, I heard her voice clearly.
I bite my lips..
'I'm not a good mister...I did that so that she doesn't hate me..'
I wish to said that to her..but my words were not coming out.
I continue running while feeling ashamed about myself.
When suddenly.
"ROOOOAAAAARRRRRRRR!!!"
behind me, a loud roar resound, a strong wind were carry together with it, pushing me and making me lose my balance, I place my hand around the head of Orion and rotate to fall on my back.
Feeling an intense pain in my back, I ignore it and lift my head a little.
In my sight, the dragon head was toward the sky.
A light in his throat was becoming bigger and bigger.
and I realise what it was.
"FUCKK!!!"
