Of course, as the two had prepared to continue fighting through the swarm of the Ink Clan, another person shot through the enemy. This man's spear, devastating, deadly, and unrelenting.
Cang whistled seeing the young man appear next to him. "With your strength I'm sure you'll be fine… Even so, don't get too greedy, being surrounded by Royal Lords wouldn't be a good thing."
Wu Kuang, Shi's reincarnation, let out a boisterous laugh. "I doubt that would kill him. Yang Kai has more than a few secrets to pull out."
Yang Kai, twirling his spear, ending the twirl with a resolute flick of the spear. "I'm not going to allow myself to be in such a situation. Now stop talking, I can't hear the sound anymore."
"Huh? What sound?"
"You don't hear it? They're practically begging…"
"Begging? For what?"
With a grin, and narrowed eyes, Yang Kai prepared another dash. "Death" And then he launched.
Cang and Shi, both, looked at each other and laughed.
"Let's not let the youngster out do us too much."
"Ha, if you think we can keep up with that killing pace… You've been hiding some powers over the years."
"Well, when you're trapped in a prison with nothing but your own thoughts, and the prisoner. One comes up with some wild ideas."
A couple of Royal Lords charged towards the pair. However, they found themselves impaled with an earthly power. Following the impalement, a rapid decay spread out from the wound.
"Impressive, you must have used Ink's corruption as an inspiration. Me, though…" Another pair appeared, attempting an ambush. It didn't last long though, as they were completely consumed in the matter of an instant.
Cang laughed, stroking his beard in between chugs of wine. "You've always had an endless appetite."
Yang Kai returned, with an idea. "You know how to perform the array, correct?"
"Hmm, Yes, I learned the basics of it from Shi. Though serving as the core is a little out of my ability at the moment."
"No need to worry, I'm the core. Hurry up, I want to clear this field."
The three of them, Cang of the 10 great experts, Shi's reincarnation, and Yang Kai, created a three directions battle array. The spinning radial bursts of energy left nothing to be desired. This was truly enough power to challenge and defeat an ink giant spirit god. With this new grand power, awakened, the Royal Lords fell like flies.
~ Elsewhere ~
Several nearby places, the 9th ranks witnessed the new power. They didn't sweat this time though. It was a power they felt they could achieve with a similar arrangement. Though, such an arrangement couldn't be made yet. It wasn't anything like the other powers, clashing in the distance.
The 9th rank chuckled, nervously. "To think, that in the infinite distance, there are two great masters fighting it out…"
An advisor mentioned. "We can still feel the reverberations from the battle even from here. It's making it difficult to even wage this battle."
The 9th rank sighed, and took a breath. "And yet, without him handling that freakish Ink, we'd either; already be dead or, in retreat with the enemy picking us off as we regroup with the Dragons and Phoenixes."
The others gulped, their thoughts had told them as much, but the vain hope they had of a different outcome was shattered once their fears were confirmed.
"Truly a young man worthy of respect. I only wish I could aid him in some way." The 9th rank shook his head. "I guess, in a way, I already am. I'm doing everything I can, at least."
The battle continued, its fierce back and forth grew ever more intense as bodies fell, Ink Clan and human army's alike. The death toll was already in the thousands on the human's side. As for the Ink Clan's side… They've already lost billions. It was a stark difference, but the Human Race was slowly tiring out.
The rescue teams were being targeted and thus they had difficulty retrieving the injured. This resulted in a hefty change, one that relied on the injured using the universe escape law. An incredibly dangerous method of escape, but even worse when fighting. However, if the injured can look like they are dead, it will be just enough time to use the technique. Injury is better than death after all.
~ The World's Origin ~
Here in this birthplace of everything, Ink and I fought it out. First was an intense series of blows, each one capable of shattering a giant spirit god as if they were made of paper. Each of these blows radiated a strength out into the void causing havoc on the nearby space. It was as if the world was trying to send us out of itself.
"AHAHAHA! You're not bad. But you're not as strong as I am. You'll eventually lose this fight."
I paused, floating there, my eyes crackling with the intense fury of thunder. My face was calm, and yet I had a smirk confident smirk, holding my fists at the ready by my rib cage. "You may be stronger, but don't go assuming that means you're going to win this fight."
"HAHAHA! Brat, this is the part where secret techniques come out in full display! Do you really think… THAT YOU STAND A CHANCE!" A huge eruption of Ink Force appeared in Ink's Aura. The intensity was enough to reach the armies battling it out. "This is my power! Now… I'm going to make you my servant."
I made an internal sigh. "If this is all the power you have, then I'm certain of at least one thing."
"Oh? What's that brat?"
"That is, the outcome is uncertain at best." In this moment, to back up my words. My own aura erupted, seemingly matching the capacity of Ink's aura.
Both armies saw this and knew that they were in danger. That was just how intense the combat between the auras was on their own.
Ink, flinched for the first time in the whole fight. "There's no way you could have such power. How… Hmm, you have no control over it."
"That's what you think? I guess that's fine. Now that this little break is over, let's get back to the part where I kill you."
"I AM ETERNAL!"
"THUNDERS PULSAR!"
A brilliant flash filled the void, lighting it up in all directions. It went oh so far…
