As strange as this entire day had been, I think we all handled it really well. For the most part, our families were super excited about Zander and me finding our mates. Mom and Talia, who were both a little closer to Amadeus than the others, seemed really happy that he had found his mate, and that he was part of our family.
I might have met Amadeus before today, but I didn't have much of a memory of him. I didn't tend to be part of the business side of things with Mom and Dad, and I was never part of the cases they took on at different times. Therefore, my meetings with him had been few and far between. Because of that, I didn't know if the smile he wore throughout the evening was typical or not. However, I did know that I liked that smile quite a bit.
