Chapter 64: Under Shrine
It was time to go underground.
In this case, underground didn't mean that we were talking about a basement. Turned out that there was another shrine under the old shrine at the surface.
"So, this is the place they're heading to?" Maleva asked as she and her favourite hunter boyfriend repelled down with ropes to this place underground after finding an entrance through an old well.
"It would appear so. It's a miracle they couldn't catch us upstairs earlier."
"Exactly. Especially after that piece of concrete fell off the pillar, right?
"Right," Michael surely agreed. It had been one hell of a close call.
"So, they're obviously searching for something or someone here. I would imagine it's some kind of lost item, relic, or a person even, but that one I'm not too sure about that since this underground floor seems completely abandoned. Look at how dusty it is all around."
"You're right, Mal. Seems abandoned to me, as well.
We continued traveling through the various corridors and rooms of the shrine beneath the shrine for a few more minutes before we found anything significant…
"What's this?" Maleva suddenly pointed out to him.
"Did you see something? The enemy?"
"No. It's something else. I feel a different type of presence," Maleva admitted to him.
"Different how?"
"It feels like you."
"It feels like me? What is that supposed to mean?" he was beginning to feel like he couldn't take her too seriously with that sort of comment. She pointed at a wall with her eyes wide open. Exactly like she was seeing something on the other side.
"Behind that wall. There's something that feels like you," she insisted.
"Then, we should take a look. That wall doesn't seem too strong or thick anyway. We should easily be able to tear it down. Come on! With me!" and just like that, without thinking twice about it, Michael leaped into the air and rushed at the wall in front of them, menacing to punch it until it collapsed.
The swift hunter was realistically about to perform this incredibly simply thought-about idea when Maleva, who had thought about this entire idea for a little more than two seconds, swiftly grabbed his right arm!
Abruptly stopping him in his tracks!
"What are you doing?" he asked her as she continued holding his arm and therefore holding him hostage altogether.
"It's quite simple…"
"What is?"
"If you do that, you'll make so much noise that it will immediately alert the others. We have to be more careful, pretty wolf," the huntress reminded him with a coy smirk on her face. Teasing him like no tomorrow.
"Right. That makes a lot of sense."
"There's something… There's clearly a way in…"
"It doesn't seem that way," Michael doubted that she knew what she was doing. Not because he knew any better. Michael didn't know anything about what she sensed on the other side of that wall, but it sure intrigued him, to say the least.
"There's a secret door. I know it," she swore to him.
"Really? Where is it?" his attention had sparked.
"It's… Right here…" Maleva scanned the entire wall with the palms of her hands. Sliding her hands all over it, desperately searching for a way until she had finally found it.
"You found it? Oh, wait, you're right, I see something there, there's a wolf's head on that side of the wall," Michael noticed.
"I'm going to need your help to push that door. I need your strength, Hunter," she called him by his birth name, which he immediately thought was pretty strange, but he didn't say a word about it.
So, the two of them used their combined strength and with Michael's help, they were finally able to push on that secret door and…
Thud!
They were on the other side of that wall, uncovering a narrow passage, which led them into a hidden chamber within this underground shrine beneath the shrine itself.
"Ah! We got it! Thank you so much, Hunter!"
"I'm… I'm suddenly starting to feel weird for some reason…" Michael said so as he abruptly dropped to his knees. Collapsing. Automatically triggering Maleva and projecting her entire attention toward him.
"What's happened to you?" she called out for him, desperately attempting to help him. Her big tits flopped in the air as she rushed to his aid.
"Don't know. There's something in this secret room that is making me feel sick to my stomach," he admitted to her.
"Then, that must be that presence I felt through the wall earlier," she mentioned to him.
"That must be it," he agreed with her.
"What can I do to help you?"
"I don't know. What hurts the most right about now are my eyes."
"Your eyes? Is your vision becoming worse than before?" she asked him.
"No. Actually, it's the contrary. It's becoming better."
"Uh? How is that possible?" she replied, shocked.
"I don't know."
Then, all of a sudden, they both heard rumbling coming this way. Footsteps. Marsha's followers were coming this way. They were sure they would catch them, especially, if that secret was maintained the way it was.
"They're coming! We have to hurry! There! Come into my chest!" Maleva commanded him.
"What?
"Come into my chest!" she urged him to do it.
"Okay…" he finally agreed to do it and rushed into her chest. Diving head first between her majestic and soft tits. She hugged him with her breasts and pulled him deeper into the hidden room at the same time as she hastily closed the secret door right in the nick of time before any of Marsha's followers could ever see it or them.
Once fully in the room, Michael's eyes began hurting him even more…
"There's something… Something is calling me in this room…"
"What are you talking about?" Maleva asked him as his head was still completely stuck between her breasts.
"It's over there…"
It was when they both saw it in the distance…
There was a long blade resting in the mouth of a wolf's head at the center of the hidden chamber.
The blade was calling him…
