In the end, our father was able to push Al away and call out a knight to restrain her. Then, she was confined for an indefinite amount of time.
However, that confinement meant nothing to her.
"Ira! Ira! Wake up!" Alethea shook my body relentlessly until she saw my eyes open.
"Hngh... Al...?" I rubbed my eyes before stopping and sitting up from shock, "Al?!"
"What... what are you doing here? Aren't you confined in your room? Hide! What if a knight sees you?!"
Alethea burst into laughter. "Why should we care?" She shrugged and confidently said, "They wouldn't be able to, anyways."
"Huh? What are you talking about...? Huh..."
My confusion only grew when I saw the sun outside, bright and so high up in the sky. Normally, I would have been woken up by the maids once the first light—where the sky has some light, but the sun has not risen yet—has appeared.
'Why did the maids not wake me up?'
'No... why is there no noise... at all?'
