"When will Mr Vice be coming back?" Alexa asked with a casual tone to mask her curiosity.
She looked at Emilia scanning through the refrigerator as they made a list of groceries to be restocked.
"Spinach and Mozzarellas." Emilia called out and Alexa jotted it down on the list. She raised her gaze in wait for an answer to her question.
"I'm not sure when he'll be back, but he did say tonight or tomorrow. And do add celery to the list." Emilia said as she continued scouring through the refrigerator.
He was returning tonight or tomorrow? Alexa mused as she distractedly scribbled down the ingredients Emilia had mentioned.
She felt a thump in her heart. It was that of excitement and anxiety — excitement to see him after many days and anxiety for what awaited them upon his return.
It's been over ten days since Christopher left the manor for a brief business trip. He had left immediately after they returned from his meeting after leaving Ciara's place.
