The air crackled and boomed as the elements of space and wind collided with the behemoth's body.
"We can finish it off, let's kill it!" Stella yelled. Her body fluttered through the air as she sent several more wind blades slamming into the behemoth's body.
[Rune.] Shiro's voice echoed in his mind.
"I know."
He was aware off it too. It wasn't going to be possible to kill it. He had known that from the start. He quickly turned to Stella and called out to her.
"No, keep pushing it back! We will bury it in the biggest sand pit!" he yelled back.
His connection with with Shiro was a lot more stable now, but that didn't mean they had mastered the fusion form. On the contrary, it only made their weak points that much more apparent. Their technique was sloppy, so their energy consumption was high. On top of that, while their connection was far stronger than before, it wasn't unbreakable.
